had the car towed monday
they will not tow it back because i am not 100 miles from dealership
2013 mini convertible

 

Why would it need to be towed back to you if they fix it?

 

I live 1 hour and 20 minutes away from the dealership.

i had this happen... i live 6 hours from the dealer and had something wrong with my thermostat so they towed it from my house to the dealer... then they would not tow it back, and told me to take a flight from pullman to seattle to get it HAH! i ended up paying for them to tow it back for $100 i think, but then they put it on a trailer behind a pick up and ruined my bumper by pulling it to far forward.. so it was just a mess...
not sure how they thought i was going to get to my car to pick it up if i didnt have a car to get there... but i understand why they didnt want to tow it back

 

Talk to the dealership. I had my car towed more than the 100 miles for free when the dealer arranged it.

too late for this trip but... I wonder if you could talk them into a loaner or rental that they pay for next time? I get where you are coming from. 2013. new car and all. inconvenience. down time. Also see where they would stand on it. My dealer was tripping all over themselves to put us in a loaner while they did stripes that were not on it at delivery but that is a different animal.

 

did you not go to the dealer with the car?
if you did you probably could have got a loaner. . .

 

Expecting them to row your car home is kinda like expecting your health insurance to get you an ambulance ride HOME after a hospital stay.....
