Fun in the snow!!!

I live in Ohio... It snows here one day then the next day it's 65 degrees and then after that its back to the white stuff. But that's not the point. Every time it snows like this I head over to Fairfield Christian north campus ( it has a large parking lot ) and spent some time and gas on big slides and doughnuts in reverse I was just wondering of anyone else has done any of this in your state?

Of course, especially since we both get the same weather from Michigan and Ohio. I love doing it also in my little parking lot I have in my driveway.

I used to do that a lot in my Cherokee, but I haven't done it in the Mini yet. Sadly, we haven't gotten more than an inch or two of snow this winter.

I've got 15" Blizzak WS70's on the Mini and our back roads are almost fully covered in snow and ice. With other cars I've owned in the past I tended to drive relatively conservatively. I've found with the Mini I'm constantly drifting and breaking the car loose to have some fun (of course with no other traffic in sight and a completely empty road ahead of me). These little cars are a hoot in snow!

I know what you mean, parking break and some nifty wheel work and your going perfectly round a corner sideways

Yea, I still slide if I want too. I went from a Mini that couldn't pull out of the driveway to a Mini that thinks she is a snowmobile. We got about 6" the other day and I went out to try the new tires out. It was night and day. I'm glad I took Gus's advice from Tire Rack and got the 15" Blizzak tires. I did circles in a parking lot iced over w snow on top. Lock to lock and figure 8's. Did 10 mph circles and 15 mph 8's. Rear end never broke loose and front bit hard. Only thing that happens was I got dizzy and wife got nauseous. When I did same with my Sunfire, studs on front and all seasons on back, couldn't hold circle and fig 8 went into snow drift. I'm sold.

The best for me was when the only snow that was left was hard and icy but there was no snow all around the lot so I could get up to about thirty or so and slide about 70 yards
