Another widow tint question

Hello,

Ive been looking around the forums and have decided between 30% and 20% tint. My mini is PW with Black roof. Colorado law is 27% all around or nothing on the front two side windows and any for the rest.

If you have any pictures of the 20 or 30, could you please post them and let me know if that was the right choice for you?

Thanks!

I bought my car like this and we love it. Cool inside on hot days and a little bit of privacy too.

Looks great! Do you think that is about 20%?

Here is mine on a sunny day... 20% rear 3, 35% front. I'm quite happy with it. Still okay for night driving, but looks a little better and helps keep the interior cool.

Thats what the wife wants, 20 on the back three, 30 on the two front sides. At the moment though, I leaning the same all around, I just cant make up my mind on the 20 or 30.
Looks good.

I think 20 is too dark on the front windows. Just my opinion and many will disagree, but I like to have pretty good night time visibility when I'm checking for pedestrians and cyclists before making turns, etc... 20% seems fine but I think darker would be pushing my luck.

When I back out of my driveway in the morning when I leave before dawn, it's tough to see much straight through the 20% on the rear window.

I had my tint done by a reputable company. Good price and lifetime guarantee against anything.

It appears very cheap to do it yourself.

It did when I first looked into it. I think I paid around 140 for the entire car and I don't have to worry about peeling, cracking, bubbling, fading, discoloration, etc. If anything occurs I just go back and have it replaced.

That isn't bad.
I guess they clean the windows better than I can do it at home as well.
I sent an email to a local place.

Usually it is a 6-8 inch strip accross the top windshield.

So are all these tints just film? Is there a chemical way to tint?

I am a huge fan of the 35% front/20% rear. Just make sure it reflects UV so it blocks out the heat and sun rays.

Local shop will do complete windshield(which is illegal in most if not all states). But cash only and no receipt or after sales support. 70% don't look too bad.
