Doing 30 on the sides helps with night vision. I find 20 to be a bit too dark at night. Post pics when you get it done!

I am thinking to do 50 front and 30 rear.
I can't seem to find a place to buy the good film though.
They all say good but I think not so.

Look into the Huper Optik, I really like mine. I have had it on my last 4 vehicles. It blocks a ton of heat, I live in Arizona , where as the others don't block much heat at all. I have had mine done at the Mercedes dealership. I'm not sure where you would find it in Colorado. If you decide to go to Mercedes ask them about there other film that is like Huper Optik but is about half the cost. My sales guy told me about it but I stuck with Huper Optik. I have not put it on the MINI yet just due to lack of time.

70% on the windshield is the federal DOT limit and is allowed here in CO. I paid cash (for discount purposes) but did get a receipt/warranty.

My pic above makes it look darker than it really is. You can definitely tell that the windows are tinted but they're not even close to being blacked out. I doubt many folks would notice the 70% on the windshield if I didn't tell 'em.

aleclee, any issues with a polarized coating on your windshield film ? when wearing my sunglasses i can barely even see the speedo because of the film on it.

No probs with polarized shades through either the tinted windscreen or the windows.

I've also been told different states have different specifications at which tint level is legal and not legal. So, theoretically, you could be driving across state lines, and get pulled over in a different state with illegal windows
Maybe this will help.

Just so you are aware 30% MAY not pass your inspections there even though 27% is the darkest you can go. Our cars have a stock 5-7% tint on them, so if you get 30 that can be anywhere between 23-25% total.

In Connecticut is is 35%+/- 3%. So I went with 38% to pass. Ive had 20% on my last 3 cars and realized you don't need such dark tint to look classy or do its job.

here is my car with 38% ALL AROUND. black leather interior, British Racing Green

I plan on getting Huper Optik 25% on the doors, sides and rear. I figure the auto dimming mirrors I ordered will take care of glaring headlights.
