I haven't had any issues at all with the Y cable. I just made sure that the USB and adapter plugs were pushed all the way in and the connector to my iphone goes on and off pretty easily. Maybe I just got lucky?

Not a problem. I just don't want to be out of the loop, since I'm fairly new here and still learning how things work.

Yeah, but I think I only got that because I dropped an additional $800 on accessories when I picked Raph up.

Yeah, but staying under 4,500 isn't as easy as it sounds with Sport Mode on and Traction Control off.

The aux jack on my Y-connector also tends to come out (partially) and has to be re-seated. I now check it by habit.

Also, sometimes I don't want to bother with the cable and use Bluetooth only. However, after using the cable, the system "forgets" that I had already enabled Bluetooth audio for the same phone. So I have to drill down to the phone configuration and re-enable Bluetooth audio. (This could be deejay's problem--a smartphone is just a phone to the Mini unless Bluetooth audio is enabled.) But you should only have to configure a phone once, and not lose settings when you change connect modes.

I understand! We have wildlife around here to watch out for too.

I had a long list of names! I'm terrible with decisions, so picking one was a bit of a challenge! I kept coming back to "Viv" because "vivacious" and "lively" are great words to describe a blue MINI! Also....Viv kinda has that motor accelerating sound....viviviviVIVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV!!!!!!
She's just spunky..I love her!!!

Our cars definitely have their own personalities! Look at this link to see what I found out about "Winston". I think that name is spot on!!!

So, yesterday, the weather here was clear and blue with white, fluffy clouds. I loaded my 2 buckets and all my washing supplies and headed to the manual car wash so I could park under the shade and use their water....
I spent an hour and a half washing, drying and glazing Viv. She looked beautiful!!!
I got a ton of funny looks from everyone who was using the manual car wash "properly". OK....so I looked a bit nerdy....but I needed SHADE!
I picked up my friend for a girl's night out....showed off Viv and went for drinks and a movie. We walk out of the theater, and guess what? Rain. Rain and the greatest lightning show on earth!!!

OK....so like I said before, we had a TERRIBLE drought last year and I am soooo thankful for the rain.......but I mean.....can't Viv have at least a couple of days to shine after all that hard work? UGH!!!!! I think we might be looking for boat storage next week!!!!

Also....I was so tempted to pull over on my way home to take a picture of Viv in the lightning lit sky! It was scary, but very beautiful at the same time! Would have been a great pic! No rain.....just lightning!

OMG isn't that the truth, I tagged a deer with my Wrangler years ago. $3200 in damages but I was happy to see the dear keep on going.

Sport mode makes a huge difference in power, response and sound (burbles and pops). I haven't turned the traction control off yet.

That would have been a great photo op. Dark blue-grey lightning filled sky and Viv in all her glory!

we were Probably detailing our cars at the same time. I too did the same thing as you except I sweated in my driveway. Went inside after finishing, got a shower and got cleaned up... Went into town for a movie (parked Winston in the parking garage away from everyone) came out and we too had a big rain storm with lightning. I was so glad Winston was inside. Sorry viv got rained on. Get the boat in storage
