Horse power story center!

Ok this thread is to share stories when your Mini's Horses got you out of a jam, whether it be turning left in heavy traffic or out of a dangerous situation. This thread is not limited to only Minis but stories with Minis are preferred.

Here is a quick example.

While turning left today, I had a small chance to turn left because of traffic. So what did i do? Well my Mini was in sport mode (like it should be) and i unleashed the horses on the unsuspecting pavement. The result was a success. Shifting through those gears like they were hot, allowed me to make it in front of traffic and speed down the road to freedom. It was basically the great escape, but with a mini cooper and not a jail, it was Whole Foods.

Anyways i hope your stories are better.

Story away!

Dude! You're slaying me!

"i unleashed the horses on the unsuspecting pavement"

OK, that's nice... lemme free associate for a sec...

How about...

I dropped the hammer and exploded into the gap... or perhaps

With a howl of protesting run-flats and a supersonic whine, I leapt forwards... or perhaps

I opened the plenums, and let her eat... or even

With an intimidating murmur, I insinuated towards the horizon...

Lord! Where do I draw the line?

Cheers,

Charlie

WOW!! It just sends chills up my spine when you talk like that. And at my age that doesn't happen often.

I'm going to be honest here. I use the tiny size of the car to my advantage 100% of the time I have a chance. getting in front of people during traffic, merging, whatever. I drive like a new yorker in the suburbs. I dont care

Any time there is a boat load of traffic when I am merging, (75% of the time there is) I really dont even merge. I have zero patience to stay on the right side merging lane waiting around for traffic to ease up. Instead, I cut over the second there is an opening, completely avoiding the merging lane. I keep doing this until I get in the left lane and simply speed away.

Im talking 5- 10 mph traffic here btw....

I love seeing a cop stuck in the back of traffic at a stop light, and im at the front of the pack going in opposit direction and fly down the road faster than posted speed. Then make eye contact with the driver knowing there is no way for him to turn around or get arround traffic besides driving over the median (full of tree's the last few times)
