Am I going to make people mad?

I just installed this tonight, do you think people will be mad or jealous? It is common courtesy, and a law in some states.

Can't speak for others, but I am pissed now!

Yes, you will **** some people off, just because some people are permanently in that state to begin with.

There is a really badass looking R53 on here somewhere. Matte black vinyl total body wrap, yellow calipers, and MOVE RIGHT in yellow on the top of the windscreen. Looks awesome. Yours is a little less aggressive so I doubt you'll incite much rage.

As long as you don't cut someone off for parking in the left lane ...

I'm perpetually in the middle/right lane if I want to get 29-30 MPG, stuck right at 69/70 MPH (< 3000 RPM). Short gearing kinda sucks sometimes, especially when L'il Miss Soccer Mom and her 2 kids in an Escalade ESV pass you doing 90 MPH.

It might be more effective in mirror script on the front window.

Bingo. You hit the nail on the head.

But why bother? People don't pay attention anyway plus I think it detracts from the look of your Mini.

Sorry, people in the States, in general, do not understand what it means to "drive right." The ones that do are not the problem, the ones that do not will not be changed. They just think that it means to drive correctly which, in their tiny little brains, they think that they already are.

My initial reaction as well. The wording is awkward and ambiguous. Many people will interpret it to mean "Keep to the right so I can pass you", but in the original post it seems that you intended it to be a plea for courtesy. Even for that purpose it is a poor choice of words. Both interpretations will make people think that you have a superior attitude.

Any sign in the window of your car will be misinterpreted by someone. It matters not how carefully worded.

One that has irritated me is the one with the caution symbol and the wording, "Caution, show dogs on board". Don't these people know that that keeping the windows closed will prevent the dogs from jumping out?

I suppose I need one that says "Caution, old man driving and he forgot his glasses".

just my opinion... driving advice via window graphics is dumb.

would you ever put "pull over for emergency vehicles" on your window? No, because it's stupid.

You will probably get your car keyed or worse.

There are people out there that just look for anything to give them an excuse to do wrong. You may be parked at the mall or at the theater and when some idiot sees that on your window it will trigger something in their warped stupid brain to want to get even because they will think you are doing a personal attack on them. It is sad but a fact.

It is a good message but the drivers that drive ignorant & stupid won't bide by it anyway.

I've always wanted to put up a LED sign (the kind with scrolling text, etc) in my car, so I can post messages such as "Please don't tailgate me" or "What's the hurry? I can't move any faster" or even like the OP said "Please move over to the right".

But I haven't done that because like the others posters above mentioned, people who understand how to drive will not need the messages, and the rest will either ignore me, or worse, take it out on me (road rage). Besides I understand it's apparently illegal in many places to have such a sign, and I'm sure the cops won't like being reminded that they're not doing their jobs as far as those kind of driving are concerned.

Anytime you express an opinion, political statement, ect.ect. in large letters on a vehicle you leave yourself open to all sorts of problems. I dare say a keyed door or broken window may be in your future. Most people will more than likely laugh or utter something to the effect of (What an idiot) then move on. Remember it only takes one unpleasant incident and you may be saying, what was i thinking. Oh by the way i was not calling you an idiot i would just laugh and pass by. Good luck

The fact the op asks the question in the first place indicates a degree of uncertainty requiring a greater degree of reconsideration.

While I 100% completely agree with your message, I think most people that you are targeting with that sign will feel antagonized which will not end up benefiting you in the long run. It's less trouble to just downshift to 3rd gear and zip around them as fast as you can, and more fun too !

I personally wouldn't bother. How many times I've approached a "righteous" speed limit hugger in the left lane who refuses to move over. Especially bad with an 18-wheeller on my back bumber.
