I found a chip....what should I do?

1 week old today; first washing-never been gassed up as of yet. I found a chip (see attached link) by the gas tank. What does one do in this situation-seriously?

If you are talking about the black spot in this photo, that is not a chip. All the MINIs I have seen have that(not sure what it is, though). If you are not talking about the black spot, the photo is too out of focus to see anything else. (The camera seems to be focused in on the reflection of your crotch in the paint.)

What you should do is go drive more! Don't worry about it, its a car, it gets driven, it gets battle wounds, thats what gives it character!

Its a drain hole to keep water from being trapped behind the trim piece i think... or has something to do with the pieces removal if need be?

If it's a drain hole it must be a change for the 2011. The fuel filler surround piece on my 2010 is smooth at the bottom. At least it's a plastic trim piece so rust is not an issue. If it bothers you, get some touch up paint and make it go away.

2010 MCS here, and I have that drain hole. Nothing to worry about, it's not a chip. Maybe the MCs don't have it, but the MCS does and has for awhile.

mine is smooth inside too, but I figure water could probably find its way behind that bezel piece, and the hole probably helps to evacuate it quicker
