What's this lace/cloth for?

Found this lace/cloth under the window of my passenger side rear window. Anyone noticed this and what it is?

Looks like some sort of seat back material. Do you have vinyl seats? Maybe backing to the headliner. Could just be a small piece that was trimmed off and was left in the car during manufacturing....

Thread a while back had similar question, was untrimmed headliner in that case IIRC. As mentioned, could be seat material also (depending on where it's actually poking out).

So it looks like you should be ok in terms of weatherproofing, but might be worth reporting it to them all the same.

Yea, I think next time when I do the oil change, I will let them know. It should still be under warranty by that time.
