What did your MINI do for YOU today?
Last night I picked my Mini up from the dealer for what will likely be it's last ever service under it's original warantee. It had both horns replace, the pass side engine mount replaced and the changed the oil pan gasket. I brought it in for the horn blowing fuses and the engine mount leaking and they told me about the oil seeping.
She took me to her dealership to redeem a gift certificate and got her the rear window shades. She now looks like she's had a tint job. Nice product, removable and cheaper than a tint job
She scared the bejeisus out of me...I had a dream last night that when I got in her and hit the Start Button, she wouldn't Start...twice, then when she did start she stumbled and died!!
*I gotta' quit reading NAM!!*

RJ - this site does make one a little paronoid. I find myself constantly looking for CEL's, noises, checking my oil every other day, etc.
At least if we do have some issue pop up we'll probably know what it is from reading all this stuff.
Probably not such a bad thing.

She took me to the Dr. today...not FUN but look what it did last night!!

I know a POS parked next to Molly, this is a Surgical spot so I really can't complain to much, besides my usual spot was taken.

Sometimes I worry that my car is too "delicate" to be beat on, based on all of problems I read on this site. I haven't even done a burnout yet... lol.
It's just weird, sometimes the engine makes a ticking noise, but only sometimes! Really, once in a blue moon. And then I have "cupping" on my rear tires despite my alignment being good, my not driving around like speed racer and my tires are decent "quality" tires. Just kinda makes me paranoid...
Am I overreacting?
+1 on paranoia.

Also, I think if you beat them you ARE more prone to issues. I drive mine spiritedly about once a week and no issues.
Vent lighting!? I'm so curious to see how it turned out! Share some photos! :-)
You can bet on it!!
I think we could have gone a bit further, but Hubby had knee surgery last September and it was getting CRANKY!!
He did tell me though that he doesn't think he could go to the top, he is afraid of heights too!!

Pardon my ignorance, "sea foamed"????
Well I just found this thread and it appears to be very similar to the "what did you do to your Mini" thread judging by some of the posts. But since it's supposed to what has your Mini done FOR YOU, I will say my Mini got me to work this morning which is exactly what I expect from it every morning.
Top end engine treatment. Get it at auto parts stores and I think even Wally World has it. Read directions. It goes in the vacuum line of the pvc inlet side (passenger side of engine). Run the required amt. in slowly while engine is running and once all is in and the engine is just about to die out, you turn the car off. Let it set for requried time frame and then start it up and black crap will pour out the exhaust. Cleans upper part of engine of carbon deposits but if carbon build up is very bad, it alone won't work.

Mine put me in a good mood taking me to work on a rare sunny March morning in WA state and then put me in the proper mood for starting the weekend by zipping along a twisty detour on the way home from work. Such a fun car!
