My thoughts on two cars

I hadn't driven my 03 MCS for a couple of days. I had been driving my 2010 Mazdaspeed3 which is an amazing car. It has amazing power, nice handling, interior is great and I love the looks. But I just took my MINI to the store and I don't know what it is about the car but I think I like it more than the mazda. It just has so much personality. It doesn't have to the power of the mazda, which I really enjoy about the mazda. I've autocrossed and tracked both and the MINI was a lot funner. It just seems to have so much more personality. Don't get me wrong, I love my Mazda. It just feels like I can have a relationship with the MINI that can't be had with the Mazda.

I have the same issue with a Miata. I had the MINI then got the Miata and drive them both. I love having the option and I keep the miles low on both. I don't think I can give up the MINI.
Others with more than 2 cars will probably chime in.

The Mini's seem to have a soul which is hard to find in a car. Bought my wife a 2010 MCS which I took over immediatly after purchase. She was looking at a VW Bug! It became my commuter car instantly and have now ordered a 2011 JCW which should be here in a week or so. My other Italian love might be getting a bit jealous but she gets all the prime time limelight. She has a soul also. I think I have the best of both worlds. Fast Rear wheel drive GT car and twisty corner rocket for commuting. The JCW will most likely see more track days.

Congrats on the new Works. I would love to be able to keep my R53 and get a brand new JCW!

I drive my Mazda to work and my wife's Mini in the weekends. The Mazda is like a well behaved good child where as the mini is like a naughty little rascal. Must be the bumpy ride and roaring engine of the Mini that makes it fun to drive and begged to be driven hard.
