Dan can help you out. He is a pretty good guy and can get what you need done.

I totally agree that Dan is the man & the best in NC for MINIs. Unfortunately for the OP it's a pretty long way from Jacksonville to Thomasville (about 2 hrs west of Raleigh & Jacksonville's almost 2.5 hrs east of Raleigh). Unfortunately I don't know of any places in the eastern part of the state.

I did not notice wokkie001 lives in Jacksonville. At this point, Way Motor Works near Atlanta is closer.

Take alook at the Tar Heel Mini Motoring Club website. http://www.tarheelminis.org/content.php
They have members in your area that could point you in the right direction.

Call Bill Hutchens at Professional Auto Service in New Bern at 252-633-6802. He does most of the Minis in town (including the used ones offered for sale by the local dealers) He will do my new (yesterday) 2011MCS and he does my Corvette. He and his whole crew are car nuts. And you will enjoy your time there; there are always interesting cars in the shop.
I like to stand next to my cars when they are serviced. There is no "You can't be in the shop sign" at Professional Auto.

Dan no longer has a shop. He's a tech at the local dealership, FLOW MINI. Motorsport Connections in Winston-Salem works on MINI's. Sneed for Speed used to have a shop but they are now mail only for parts. The Tarheel MINI Motoring Club website is pretty much dormant. They're quite active on Facebook, though. You might try there for other recommendations.

Wow, Thanks so much NC TRACKRAT! I had Flow Mini do some warrantee work on my Mini...like warped brake rotors after track days, HaHa. "Sneed for Speed" would that be Sam Sneed? I will check out Motorsport Connection.

Just by chance let me ask quick question with a LONG Background story first. I am a retired MB technician. Locked my tool box 11 years ago and walked away leaving $40,000 of Snap-On tools and My Mini in storage since then.
It's in a collection of very expensive foreign car, all of which are not mind. I am coming back to WS, NC for the month of June to get my Mini running again and play with it. I can not work on it at the location it is at because of zoning issues and the owners regulations stated in my storage contact with him. I would love to find/rent a work space to work on my Mini myself for the month of June or just along as it takes to get it running again.

Question, By chance due you have or know of a place or location where I could fine/rent a garage?

Thanks for any leads you can steer me to. Regard, Roland
