I'm still wavering alittle between the color combos. I still like the combo you ordered with the black body, and redhead look, but then I saw an all black the other day and loved it too. And I sometimes think I still would like the red body, brunette look too. :D
Well, it's in, it's at the dealership and I will be picking him up on Saturday afternoon. He looks no worse for ware considering his long trip from Oxford, England. I have pictures, but am unable to place them on the site. When I get to Schaumburg on Saturday, I will have my Olympus with me and take pictures then. Then, I can fill up my NAM Gallery. My Motor Advisor sent me four iPhone pictures, but like I said, am unable to transfer. By the way, I am not the most impartial person to be saying this, but Lil Guys looks real good. Those Black Challenge wheels carry the Black theme over, very well. Can't see the interior very well, it's all covered in plastic, but the Red leather and Black cloth is there. Maria said that she thought the interior looked Cheeky, whatever that is.

Hemisedan, where you be? Did you pick up 'Lil Guy yet? If so, what are your impressions? Are you in love? And....where are the photos????! I hope that you have him, and that you're having a fantastic time with our first "official" MINI manufactured Red Roofed JCW to hit NAM! When you get some spare time, maybe you'll update the thread! Either way, very happy for you!

I got him on Saturday, and he is really something special. The colors, matching the interior and the outside black and red, really bring it all together. If you e-mail directly, I can get some pictures to you, but I am unable to get them on this site. They keep saying that my size needs changing, made smaller and I have no idea how to do that. I'll try here again.

Firstly, the photos came in perfectly. Secondly, 'Lil Guy is spectacular!!! Congratulations, you must be so happy. Your interior is the negative image of my own...where you have black, I have red; where you have red, I have black. Man, that is one incredibly hot looking MINI you have there; from the wheels to the red roof, 'Lil Guy is a very handsome and special MINI!!!!!

Thank you, we have gotten close to our Lil Guy very quickly. It was a great drive back from Chicago, no problems.

Just on a side note here. I push the Sport Button for the first time today. What can I say.....WOW. That REALLY makes a difference. Now, I have been impressed with the performance level of our new guy, but the increase from just changing to the Sport mode. Impressive. I drove my daughters Dodge GLHS back in the mid 90's and thought that was really responsive. Shucks, can't hold a candle to our Lil Guy. In regular mode, he gets up and goes, in the sport mode he's a complete terror. Yup, we're going to get along just fine.

PS....I had better not push the Sport Button with Olga in the car.

This is another view after we got home. The Miata lost it's garage position, well at least for one day. As the MX-5 is now turned in to the Mazda dealer, ready to go to a new home.

Sounds like you're off to a great start, Hemisedan, and it is great that you have an option to drive in sport mode or not--plus it will provide Olga with peace of mind! ;o) Those wheels are insanely cool with the breaks, by the way.

Here's a couple more shots of the Lil Guy. Some are referring to him as the Little Giant Killer. Especially in the Sport Mode.

Wow. I love it.
I found this thread because I've sort of considered painting my roof red. I have a Dark Silver Gen1 MCS with a white roof. I love the white, but red would be really striking. I can't find any pictures of a car done in this color combination either. I tried building one at miniusa.com so I can see what it would look like, but they've taken away the dark silver color for 2011!!!

Hmm, need to decide...

I took the leap, and I'm really glad that I did. Having said that, you're MINI is gorgeous as is, but I bet the red roof would be stunning too!

I wish I could join the red roof club! I saw a beautiful red roof 2011 JCW at a local MINI Countryman event (see my gallery) and was pretty jealous. I love my Chili Red Clubman with the black roof and black bonnet stripes, but that red roof on the black car was really a stunner!

About the dark gray and painting a red roof on it, configure a JCW on the Mini site, but substitue Eclypse Gray, that's as close as you're going to get. Not a bad combination.

Oh, but your Chili Red with the Black roof is gorgeous. I love that combination. In fact, ever since I purchased Mack, way back when he was Cosmos Black with a white roof, I thought about painting his roof and mirrors red, simply because a Chili Red with Black Roof caught my eye as I drove off. It's a great combination.

I agree...I like the combination. I have NO regrets, and I'm stopped by people all the time. When I first got Mack, I was stopped a lot, because he was one of the few MINIs on the road around here, but overtime that subsided. When I painted his roof, people approach me, knock on the window as I'm backing out of a space--he's getting a lot of attention, not that it would matter to me, but it is nice to hear the compliments.

Nope. That's the night she went home to live with me. It's been too cold/wet to wash her and take decent pictures since I picked her up. That doesn't include the fact that I've been in the middle of an epic tiki bar renovation for the past 7 months and haven't been able to step away from the basement on the weekends.
