I wish my '07 would start on its first try.....cold start stalls. Hopefully i get it fixed soon. My mechanic swears it's the water pump and he's waiting to get an order of them (I do realize it could be the hpfp plague)

I hate the fact it doesn't have cannons on the front of it to blast the stupid fat SUVs constantly driving well below the speed limit in front of me on the twisty fun roads... I'm beginning to think they are driving like dorks on purpose, its just too consistent to be coincidence.

It's the power of fear and self-preservation. Do you know how feels to have an SUV cornering on its hubcaps? For most people, that isn't their idea of fun...

I hate the fact that if I push the gas peddle all the way to the floor when I'm going about 80 it pops down to a low gear and over revs like crap.. Anyone else try this?

+1 on wipers. The wipers on my (former) '09 HT and current '11 S Clubby are simply the worst I've ever experienced (though remedied nicely with some aftermarket alternativites - so I read).

Would also add lack of mid-thigh support regardless of how i position the seat (though I understand 6'2" drivers push the outer design limits; there are much more comfortable designs in smaller cars).

And the default, no-changing-it speed display on the digital speedo (not an issue prior to 2011, however).

Disclaimer: These issues are far-outweighed by the benefits of the MINI design and personality.

That's why you should stick with a 6 speed!

As a wise man once said, "just because your paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you!"

I think it's part of the greater SUV, Law Enforcement conspiracy to prevent us from having maximum enjoyment of our MINI's by driving them to the limits (ours and theirs)!

I drive a big lifted SUV right now!!

We drive slow because:

1) Most of us can't really drive fast, mine struggles above 70 on the highway.
2) Going fast on a turny road with a big top heavy vehicle... there's some pucker factor there
3) Sub-15MPG.. don't push it unless you have to

Also I usually pull off to the side if I'm on a turny road and I see a line of cars behind me, doesn't happen too often up here though.

And staying on topic:

I hate that mine's not here yet.

Both of these can be fixed...On a Gen 1 the doors can be made to stay unlocked at a dealer. Gen 2, it is part of the trip computer throught the button on the turn signal stalk. The sprayers can be easily adjusted with a small metal pointy thing, stick it in the hole and move the little ball.

That done...now you have nothing to dislike

I haven't even had it a month, so not many gripes yet. Used the windshield wipers for the first time today, and that was interesting trying to figure that out! I'm sure I'll get used to it. The need for premium fuel
I'm reaching here.....gimme a year or so with the car and I might have more.

Would be nicer if they sprayed a large portion of the windshield instead of just one spot.

Being the shock absorber

OK, so my Mini Cooper S with the 17" run-flats rides a bit, shall I say, "stiffly" -- and as a result, I'm pulling double-duty as a driver and a shock-absorber.

But I knew what what I was signing up for when I bought the car!

So I've got go-kart handling (good), go-kart fun (good), and go-kart ride comfort (not quite so good). But hey, two out of three ain't bad!

If I were looking for sofa-cushion comfort instead of fun, I would have bought a Lexus....

Two more (then I'm done):

"Weeping" windshield washer nozzles - especially on a just-washed hood.

Location of the oil filter on the S; worst I've ever worked with.

had mine for almost two weeks. So far the only thing I hate is the bluetooth microphone. Everyone complains that I sound like crap and it's hard to hear me.

My wife was amazed at how much better it sounds than my '09 Miata bluetooth mic did. I guess it's all in how you look at it.

Move the Mic. From the factory, its on the passeger side. Move it to the driver side and you will sound alot clearer to others. There is a thread about moving it in the Nav/audio section. I had my dealer move mine before delivery. That was back in 09.

On mine the mic is on the steering column. I think one of the problems is that it's pointing straight up instead of at the driver.
