Tsw Out Of Buisness!!!
Tsw Out Of Buisness!!!
Texas SpeedWerks has sold out.
Their site has a mesage that another vendor will pick up their product line, after the sale of the company is final.
Does anybody know who will be taking over, and if all of TSW's products will be offered by the new guys?
I was going to be ordering a couple high dollar pices from them in the next couple days, but now pretty much their entire site is DELETED.
Does anybody have any more info on what will happen with all of the race parts we have come to trust and love?

Actualy I was. I was going to order a set of TSW KW V-3's, Vorschlag camber plates, and a set of AST pillowball upper mounts for the rear.
It's ok though I have 6 months before I get out of this sand pit of a country, to find out if the new company will carry theese, or to find something else.

I'm guessing that those TSW parts will show up before too very long. In the mean time you may be able to source them with a bit of searching.
Stay safe over there... Thanks for your service!

So TSW was the principal designer and sole source (other than resellers) for the aftermarket R50/R53 replacement polyurethane passenger side motor mounts.
I'm wondering if the vendor who is planning to pick up their product line will also inherit and continue the manufacturing of these babies. Seems like it would be a good business decision. My impression is that these mounts have been fairly popular.

This event has been in the works (and a few posts have appeared, and disappeared) for the last 2+ months. The fact that folks have been complaining about things not beaing in stock did lend some creadance to the rumors beaing true....now we know they are. Hopefully the new owner will be able to invest in a few more production runs, especially for their most popular parts, like engine mounts, engine stabilizers, and coil-overs....TSW did have some good stuff...let's all hope we see them for sale again soon!!!

It is a shame....my local shop tried to order 4 engine dampers from TSW...and they were out 2 months ago....so demand is still there...
For those of us that want minimal added NVH, the damper they sell (sold) is/was a great way to extend the life of the factory mount, and reduce lash a bit....

I know for a semi reasonable fact that the new vendor will do their best to continue selling all of TSW's lineup. Which includes the engine dampers, and the parts that I am after. I have an inside source but, I cant say anything out of respect for the new vendor. A lot more details on who's taking over and what will still be offered will be coming in the next couple weeks.
Thats all I can say.

TBangin23, You are not out of luck, you just need to wait a couple weeks for the big anouncement from the new vendor. They will set you straight, you can count on them.

Yes they are on the forum, they have even read but not posted on this thread.
Yes I know who it is, and their reputation but NO I cant say who it is, they politely asked me to keep it under wraps until the sale is final, the new site is up and running, and all remaining merchandise has been moved to the new facility.
They are probably watching this thread to see if I spill the beans early, or atleast I would be. So this is probably a good chance to tell the new vendor what parts YOU as a consumer and enthusiast would like to see remaining in production, and what ones could be removed or improved upon.
I personaly think that everything TSW made and sold was great quality, and thouroughly tested, but some isues could still be adressed.
For one I would like to see an aluminum version of the TSW X-brace, it does one hell of a job but is 11 pounds of steel nessicary? Second the engine damper that everyone loves, the brackets are kinda weak. I have bent mine pretty bad twice, and the problem could be solved with just welding a pice of flat steel across the top edge of the bracket.
That is the only changes I would make.
Strong is good but, Strong and Light is better.

I figure it's got to be someone capable of manufacturing parts and selling them, and selling to someone they've worked with closely in the past would probably be the most logical choice. There are a couple of businesses that fit this description; one in particular is my personal guess--with admittedly no facts to back up this conjecture--so there is no WAY I'm going to even subliminally feed the rumor mill...

Hmmm, their site says "installer" too.
So if they move to lets say (hypothetically) to California are they gonna change their name to California Speed Works? (CSW)
