How tall is the average mini owner ?

So the reason I ask this silly question, is that I stand just under 6"4 and every one tells me it looks like a clown car when I get out of my mini.

Cheers John

Raising hand... 6'4" tall here also...

(Which means that statistically..so far the "average" MINI driver is roughly 6'4" tall)

I get a different comment from my towering 5'6" stature...usually something like "That car is perfect for you!" "You fit so well in there!" "I need a car that fits me that well!"

I've only heard of the clown comment on the forums.

I guess a few inches makes all the difference...

...That's what she said

6' here, and there's plenty of room, though I would not want to be the person sitting behind me. The seat is all the way back, and the back seats are permanently folded down so that I have more storage. We'll see how that plays with the ragtop when I take delivery.

6'0'' As noted above by another poster I fit with more than enough room but when anyone is seated behind me my knees are into the dash. When the seat is all the way back I can't put the clutch all the way in so this car definitely suits the taller individuals.

I'm 6'8".
Hence my user name.....jimz68 = "jim is 6 8 "
I get many comments when folks see me un-fold from my MINI.
But, I am more comfortable in the MINI than I was in my Nissan Maxima!

Jim

Funny thread since I would guess most of the responses would come from those who are taller (6'+).

I am just 5'10" and feel small in the car

I'm 6'4'' it's pretty comfy. I would'nt want to do a long road trip. I was looking at new Mustangs and I have more room in the Mini. However the seat behind me becomes useless, which it is anyway. It's funny that we were on a group tour and about15 of us turned around in a gas station, my Grandaughter asked if I heard the lady at the pump say, What is this a clown car convention ? Had I wanted to be nasty I would have told her yes it is Bozo
and we're hear to pick you up.

I'm 6'3". I get the clown comment and usually the little tune that goes with it: (Starts at 12 seconds)

My wife has a 328, and I feel completely smashed in it. The mini as pretty much the same head room as my jeep does.

I also find that I have as much headroom in my MINI as I do in my Expedition.

6'1"-6'2" somewhere in between there, I always get people telling me I'm the other(i.e. "no way you're 6'2" im 6'2" or "nah I'm 6ft, and you're not that much taller than me"). Anyways, I love the feel of sitting in my car. Just roomy enough but no wasted space for me.

6'1" here. I love the head room the MINI offers. It's a lot of room in there.

5'11.75". I just missed 6 feet tall. I am impressed that I don't have to move the seat all the way back to be comfortable.
