I just had surgery on my left shoulder, and was pleased that all the controls were to my right and in easy reach. While my left arm (in the sling) could still touch the wheel if needed.
Glad everything worked out OTP!! It killed me not to be able drive Molly for 10wks. after having Heart Surgery last March!!
When.........neighbors stop by now to see what if anything Ive done to my car! Its like theyre rooting for me to tweek it! This thing makes everyone happy to look at! need more of that vibe in the world
You find a parking spot no one else can fit in.
You wave at other mini's with your secret club wave and they wave back.
You can't fit all your luggage in the care.
You have to ride in someone else car because you won't all fit.
...when your wife sneaks out and goes joyriding in your mini. (Mine did this just last night. I could tell because the seat was WAY too far up this morning. )
i know right!!! And when i shut the car off i always frantically reach for the unlock switch in the CENTER console (tall stick shift and drinks become an obstacle) before the passenger reaches the handle and Looks at me like " " when the door doesn't open
Haha, my E46 bmw had these dual stage door handles too. It is very irritating though when people pull it once and then try to keep pulling back when nothing is happening.
You take one last look at your vehicle in the parkinglot/garage/driveway before it leaves your viewing-zone
I've thought about this one before. It's because, in life, many things aren't as good as they are in your mind. However, every time I see my MINI, I think "damn, that's a good looking car!" because I simply can't remember how awesome it is. It's actually better IRL than in my head.

OK, I got one.
You know you're a MINI owner when, seeing another MINI (especially one that looks like yours), you have to catch up to it to ride in a pack. Even if it means doing a U-turn!
When you are leaving for the Hawaiian islands in 5 days but you're equally mad that you have to leave your car for over a week. But the day after I get back I'm cruisin 600 miles up to northern California, so it's all good
-When you always hit DSC instead of the window opener.
When you just found out you need to go to Virginia on business and are trying to find a way to convince your boss to let you drive down rather than fly!
When you go to the flying field to show off your new model airplane and everyone comes over to help you unload and only takes photos of the mini and all want to sit in the car or go for a ride. From now on i am taking my wifes car, its a Ford...

I do the same thing. I dislike commercial flying and rental cars almost equally, so if a business trip is less than about an eight-hour drive I just take the MINI instead, especially if I'm going to be there for a week or more. The government has no problems paying my mileage since it always comes out cheaper than airfare plus a rental car.
And this one applies more to the autocrossers, but if you see a bunch of construction cones on the road and find yourself mentally calculating the best line to run a slalom through them, you might be a MINI owner!
