I am sooo feeling sfrance and kikimowse (thought I was alone in those instances)! 2 funny, but so true, and now has me 1derin' if I need 2 lie on a couch in some darkened room and discuss all this w/a complete stranger ...

I'll add these, and then get back 2 work: 1) have your grandchildren yell out MINI! whenever they're ridin' w/u; and 2) refer 2 your MINI by name ... ALL the time ... lol.

You know you own a MINI when you plan your vacations around an upcoming MINI event - like MOTD, MTTS or MITM.

or, when you start attending club events - and you've never joined any club before, let alone a car club?

My wife said right after we got our '03, "I thought we bought a car, I didn't know we bought a lifestyle!"

You know your a mini owner when ....

Your friends text you about minis they see.
Your coworkers are planning on picking up your car and moving it.
You have more mini shirts in your wardrob than any others.
You Take pictures of you car like it is your child.
When other people are trying to Mod your car for you.
You only go on a vacation that involves your car =D.
Your friends only want to take your car out.
When you only hand wash your car and you have to take it for a drive afterwards.
When your sad becuase you didnt see anyother minis while driving and sad cuase when you do see them they dont wave =(

I know its getting to be a long thread

…When the spoiled bratty kid driving his new black BMW looks at your driveway everyday coming home from school. (Makes my day; everyday)

…when your friends accuse you of trapping them in your mini because they can’t find the door handle.

… When your back seat “oh S#^t handle” has been replaced once from friends holding on to tight wile cornering.(partially my fault for taking the corner to fast)

… When you friends suggest putting Batman logos on your headlights than leaving your hood up with the lights on when it’s a cloudy night.

I speak from personal experiences.

It happened to me this morning in the sweet I-66 traffic, not a single mini.
You know your drive a mini when you talk to a complete stranger who owns a mini like he is your lifelong friend. I found a mini at the parking lot.

Speaking of not seeing other MINIs... when I drove my old '02 MCS from Virginia to the EAA Osh Kosh flyin in 2006, I did NOT see any MINIs on the way up. That's like 1,100 miles one way. I did manage to see a couple on the way back.

You have a built in Ejector seat from the factory, window down ---> Left hand down.

I'm probably guilty to at least half of these.

some that i dont think have been said:

- when you leave it in 2nd gear down a side street just to hear the exhaust backfire (05/06 MCS)
- when you imitate the supercharger whine every once in a while

I have a few to add to this.

You know you drive a MINI when...

-You have to start a wait list for co pilots for MINI driving events.
-It turned even the least enthusiastic car person into a car person, (My dad when he got his 08 MC a few years back.)
-With 3 people we still take the MINI when we go to lunch.
-When you drive 30 minutes to go to a meeting just to have it canceled you are the only one not upset because you get to drive the MINI for another 30 minutes back.
-With MPG's double from you last car and you still spend more on gas because you drive more.

This has probably been mentioned before, but it has happened 4 times to me in the last 2 weeks:

You know you drive a MINI when...

You park by yourself at the far end of the parking lot, and when you return after shopping, there are 2-4 other MINIs parked next to you.

I always park next to one if I see it.

YKUDAM When...
You teach your kids the MINI game (MINI I WIN!), and love to compete w/them
You start checking out other MINI's and pointing out what they have
When your in someone elses car and you try to change the volume w/the steering wheel and wonder why its not working
You call it her by her name or as The MINI.
You you send pics to your friends on what you can fit in your car.

You know you drive a MINI when....

you have to put down both the rear seats just to fit your dog!

You get weird looks and people laughing when driving with your dog cause it looks funny.

P.S. I have a German Shepherd who is now 80lbs and only 10 months old. the vet said he will get to 100-120lbs full grown!

You know you drive a MINI when....

...your dog won't leave you alone until he gets to go for a ride EVERY day after his dinner and before bedtime.

...your dog knows when it's Saturday or Sunday and insists on a ride to the park first thing in the morning.

you still have a huge grin on your face as you approach your baby - or turn around & give it an appreciative glance as you walk away. Still crazy after all these years (actually only 2 1/2, but still crazy about her!)

My dog loves to go for rides. He knows when we walk out side to run to the boot. When he in, he can't wait for the windows down! He whines when he knows I went somewhere in the MINI and he can't come with

also you know you drive a MINI when your family and friends make fun of it for being cute until they find out its really MEAN

Guilty as charged. We are on our 2nd Mini; moved up from 04 MCS to 10 MCS.
