you know your a mini owner when
This is a great thread
and the MINI life is a great life!
-people get in to drive your car and can't find reverse
-your driving prep is more like a pre-flight check...sun roof set, check. mood lights set, check. sport button pressed, check. driving lights on, check.
-explain that the center arm rest is supposed to be missing
-when you don't miss your 450hp muscle car a bit
-everything in a drive throughs are a reach up

When you're planning surgery on your left (clutch) knee, and your biggest worry is about when you can start driving your MINI again, instead of the actual procedure and rehab!
(BTW, the answer is < 2 weeks ... my wife watched me climb into the MINI and said, "you need professional help"

)I've actually been practicing shifting with minimal arm movement. Hoping It means I can start driving sooner
You know you have a MINI when:
-male friends tells your car is gay
-ladies looks your car in the street
-passagers don't know how to open the door (inside and outside lol)
Cabrio:
-when the passengers get exited when you open the top
-when you lower the windows and top from the beeper
-when the rear passangers can go out from the car easily with the top down.

my contributions to the list:
When your stock car on runflats handles better than your heavily modified and well dialed in car that you had previously.
When the new car is also faster than said car while simultaneously cutting your weekly gas expenses in half despite switching to premium.
When your friend gets in and makes the comment "who designed this thing? Dr. Who? Cause it's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside!"
Too funny. I just found out I'm going to be having shoulder surgery on my right (shifting) arm. I too am more concerned about when I can drive/shift again than the actual procedure.

That is a NICE colored Mini
These happen without fail and my gf has even critiqued my corner entry a few times......still not sure how i feel about that one
change co workers to friends and yeah, I get this too
I'm dreading this, I've driven all my cars previous to this pretty hard and this one only encourages me more, and after what happened with the rental minivan last time I'm really dreading what it's going to be like now.

Whenever seeing the word "MINI" in lowercase lettering makes u cringe
Whenever u HATE letting other people drive your car
Lol and whenever u hear people downtalking MINI's it makes u wonder how they manage their sad life..
(difficulty putting that last one into words lol)

Got a new one:
When your buddy threatens to do squats with one end of your car.....and you're worried he might actually do it (an actual possibility considering his normal workout includes 3 sets of 5 with 1200lbs on leg press

you know you're a mini owner when you are having dreams that you can pick up your car so you dont have to go off road
happens to me alot actually. perhaps i am afraid to take my car off road, or get a ding
You know you're a mini driver when you pass by a "mini storage" place and say, "hey, i can keep my car there"

I just had surgery on my left shoulder, and was pleased that all the controls were to my right and in easy reach. While my left arm (in the sling) could still touch the wheel if needed.
