...when driving your wife's car (not a MINI), you forget to hold the turn signal stalk down when changing lanes!

You know you own a Mini Cooper S when......

...you don't mind driving to work.
...you park next to a Porsche and only look at your car as you walk away.
...you speed up for corners.

You know you drive a Mini when:
You want to order your new Mini from a dealer 800 miles away just because the drive home will be worth it.
You know you have a Mini wife when: She thinks that's a great idea.

Your other car is a Porsche and you hardly ever drive it.

... you go out to the employee parking lot with 4 co-workers after it has been snowing all day, and you are the first one to drive away without any snow on your car.

We have only had Lucy for 5 days and it appears that we are "normal" people as well. (Guilty of most of the comments)

My Daughter says I am showing off when I don't slow down for the roundabouts, my wife screams "too fast" or just sighs

when old people walking in the cross walk while you're stopped at a red light stare at your car with an utter look of confusion wondering how I managed to steal my space ship from NASA.

I love this one! Have you ever done a couple of laps through a roundabout, just because it's fun? I have, but only since I got my Mini!

I got a lecture the other day about being too fast off the line in order to merge infront of a car before my lane ended. I told my wife I wasn't even doing 50 yet, but then she started in about the laws of physics and acceleration and how I could be technically going over the speedlimit, etc, etc.

Whatever...

There is a Double-Standard in my family. My wife feels quite comfortable verbally critiquing my driving when she is riding shotgun, and she is very uncomfortable if I should dare to return the favor. I confess however that she makes up for this character flaw in other ways!

A few years ago when i was married, my wife use to complain about what she thought was my my heavy foot. 1 lap on the track with the Porsche on Slicks and she then knew what fast was. Not only was she green when I finshed, but i insisted she clean up the mess she made in the car. After that No other comments ever about my driving.

You're away for a day or two, and have to remind yourself, as you walk toward your Mini, that owning it is, for once, not too good to be true -- it's really yours!!!!!!

LOL so true. When my fiance and I drive up to our house and the Mini is sitting in the driveway sometimes I look at it and go "ooo look at that pretty mini...oh wait that's my Mini!!"

Let me try and help...
Those with Comfort Access have a Little Black Button on the both the Driver and Passenger Door Handles, when exiting the car after the door is closed you press on the little button, this locks the car and sets the Alarm if so equiped.

If this doesn't help I'm sure some one else will come along and help you understand a little better than I.

Yes that is fun. I don't know why everyone was staring at me when I went through the park on the sidewalk.

I'm guessing this didn't help??!! The Little Black Button also allows you to unlock and open the doors with one push of the button, so you don't have to rustle around in your pocket for your Key Fob.

I'm not sure what your saying...if your locking the car don't you want the Alarm to set and if the car is bothered, yes, the Alarm goes "off"??!!
