when...you go through the Starbuck's drive in and each time, the person giving you your coffee tells you she "Loves" your car.

when... all your girlfriends have cars, but they want to ride in yours with the top down

when..your friends see other Mni's on the street and still say Simone is the cutest

More often than not, I find myself doing double takes. Sometimes I even try to walk backwards just so I can look at it longer.

...you sneak an occasional peak out the window to see her sitting in the driveway.

 

Daily walk around inspections to check for imperfections. Or, to just admire your MINI!!

You've driven other, lesser cars for a little while since your last MINI, and you get all giddy and excited reading this thread knowing yours is ONLY A COUPLE WEEKS AWAY!!!

 

You start your own web site.

 

You know you drive an MCS when:

- You pull out in front of speeding traffic without any issues

- You love to fly through the gears at every stop light

- You take the long way to work, everyday!

- You take your MINI to the car wash even when it isn't really dirty

- You barely touch your brakes and love to downshift

 

You have to drive a friends car or a rental car for an hour or so, then you get back into your mini and everything feels solid and sound. Its like getting into a race car!! Love that feeling. Its like the first drive in it all over again.

 

When you really don't have the time to wash the MINI, so you wash just the wheels because you know she'll feel better that way!

 

I completely agree with this. I just had my MINI in for service and had a loaner MINI which was nice but it was nothing like my MINI! Once I got back in my MINI I felt like I was at home, zipping through traffic like their wasn't any!

 

You pay to take the Midtown tunnel at 2 Am to get into NYC city instead of one of the free bridges, just so you can here the Supercharger Screaming off the tunnel walls as you do 70 in 3rd gear.

When you find yourself standing in the garage just looking at it...

or your wife screams " YOUR NOT IN FAR ENOUGH" as you push the button to close the garage and your sitting three feet past the door..

 

Guilty+1: I also keep clean microfiber cloths + Meguiars ultimiate quick detailer 24/7 in the car, just in case!

 

Unfortunately I know this feeling...

Mini is in the shop having quater panel, bumper & hatch replaced because I was hit by a school bus
So, I'm having to deal with driving a dodge caliber!

 

...you keep a polishing cloth in the car to clean off finger prints on the shiny surfaces.

Also, you wash your MINI on a very cold, cloudy, windy day and 2 days before you know it's goning to rain because it's been "too long" since you've last washed it.

 

... you get out of your "other car" smiling, after being rear ended because you weren't driving the MINI that day and the lady looks at you like your are nuts when you explain.
