UFF DA to the rescue! Thanks, Dwight! I'll be putting my order in tonight!

Hey let me know if you get any AM station interference. I have the same, and it seems around certain parts of brooklyn I get more interference than usual. But if you don't listen to AM, nvm lol.

im so mad at my self, i knew i shoulnt of touched it. Im so **** about washing my car i go to all the proper precautions, foam gun, two bucket method quality towels etc and i go and do some dumb rookie crap like this somewhere between bringing my towel from inside to outside it must of picked up something, i couldnt find anything on the towel after i lifted it up

spring time cannot come soon enough so i can order all my Porter cable and polishing supplies

Wait, I don't get it, the dry detail spray caused the scratch, even after you lubed it? Sorry man.

Made my own shorty antenna, and I encourage every one that hasent bought one to do the same. Hahaha All you need is a pair of wire cutters. I noticed no change in am or fm reception! Just cut it off at the end of the rubber and dab some black paint on the end, to seal it back up.

My wonderful, patient, talented husband, "surgically" replaced my stock side mirror caps with the checkered flag mirror caps on my beautiful 2010 Horizon Blue Clubman, with black bonnet stripes. He is amazing, and Giggles looks so cute....must do more checkered customizations..LOVE the look!

Had the same problem 2 weeks ago, factory header broke right through at the mini cat. Did some bush mechanics work for a week then replaced it with an OBX header

That's the AM antenna, the FM receiver is in the rear glass.

That being said, What the heck is AM/FM anyway, that some sort of iPod or new Laptop computer?

Today I dropped my 08 in for some warranty work and had to rent a vehicle to get home. What did I end up renting? A Suburban! It was the only thing left. So I dropped of my little car and picked up the biggest thing you could get. I WANT MY MINI BACK!

I can't even remember the last time I listened to AM, so I'm no help at all. And I'm guessing that *more interference than usual* means static on top of static. Sorry, man!

From a post above, is that true - that the FM antennae is in the rear glass? I listened to FM after putting on the new antennae and noticed no difference in reception...

TBH, I'm not 100% on all MINIs, but my R53 has a receiver on the bottom left of the hatch glass. Distinguished by squiggles in the "defroster."

Or at least in all the other cars I've owned, that is the case.

Put a EBC Sport rotor and Red Stuff pads on the left side. Right side gets done tomorrow and Red Stuff pads on the rear if there's time. I take lots of breaks! LOL

Can't believe I didn't post this..

JCW brakes where fitted on the front of the car. Nice red calipers behind the 17" S-spokes now. No pics yet unfortunately.

yes, Giggles, post pics!!!

and J&M'sMini: I loved your comment about your wife. I used to feel the same way when my husband talked about adding things like metal pedals on our old car. That all changed once I got my MINI. Now I am the one who wants to add all the cool stuff, and my husband is the one who looks at me and shakes his head. . .

I can't complain though, our garage makeover is almost ready! I ordered a Union Jack rug today . . . I customized the colors to be similar to "Blackjack" graphics pattern (the cross and diagonals will be red, and the other areas will be black and gray). Pics to be posted when complete!

http://www.visionbedding.com/Rugs/BritishFlag.php

here is a preview of the rug, if anyone cares:

Dropped of my MINI at dealership.
Drivers head light washer fell out.
Coolant gauge stopped working last night and then started to work again as I drove to dealer. To top it off, check engine light is on.

Nice day out so I gave it a nice wash and wax. Nice and shiny and slippery feeling.
