I actually have 2 sets of Gen 2 pre-LCI taillights. I could send one set your way. They are slightly different than your taillights so I'm not sure if thats what your looking for since they only used those lights for 3 years.

I'm not sure what can be done with the pre-LCI tail lights, but after looking at some detailed pictures, I think we can come up with something...

At the very least they can have the red lens tinted, and have the orange (if yours is that color) lens removed or modified. That would leave the outer lens clear and seem more like they were built that way.

There may be other things that can be done, but I won't know until I open one up! Once it's open, I can post pictures of the parts and crowd-source for ideas.

Centium are you going to split and modify your headlights? I would like to get rid of the orange and darken the chrome a little.

I'm considering this mod, yes. I have the halogens and would like to either do a retrofit with the Morimoto Mini H1's. If not that, then at least I will open them up and paint them a black/white combo to compliment the tail lights.

Basically, I will do what THIS GUY did, but instead of all black, I will do the outer ring black, and the inner bit will be pepper white.

If I go with the retrofit, I'll do all black and the Morimoto shrouds will be Pepper White. Kinda like THIS GUY, but with Pepper White instead.

Did my rear swaybar bushings and then a new valve cover gasket.

Just turned 66K miles on my '05 R53....while doing the valve cover gasket I found my intercooler bellows were showing serious cracking....so there's that.

Now I know where some of my boost has been going!

I knew it was gonna happen eventually, but today became eventually and I traded it in for a 2015 Scion FRS.

How it was taken to dealer.

The FRS

Really happy with how the steering felt similar to the MINI. See you guys around, maybe I'll be in a MINI again in a few years

Washed mine once the temps got above 32 to remove the road salt.

Washed mine too! 43 degrees felt like summer. 3 buckets of hot water. My car wash soap was like a frozen slurry! Boy it looks good after being salt covered for over 2 months!

What did you wired it to? Mirror? Or did you run it all the way to the fuse box?

Looks great! How much did they charge to paint the scoop?

I don't like "tapping" wiring on these modern, computerized cars so I went straight to the fusebox, using Fuse 32 (Parking Sensor). I don't have that equipment, and it was the only "switched" fuse I could find that actually let me use the add-a-circuit and still get the fusebox cover back on. I tried the cigarette lighter fuse first, but the cover would not go back on. I also tried the "phone" fuse, because I don't have bluetooth or a phone installed, but that fuse stayed "hot" after I removed the key.

Congrats on the new ride. Ended up trading in my MINI also. Went back to Infiniti for the reliability. The MINI, with all of it's issues, wasn't good for me as a daily driver. So...now I'm looking for JUST a project car. Lol

I got Barnaby back from the Collision Center. I wasn't really pleased with the service at the MINI Collision center connected to my dealer. Disappointing :(

I accidentally put about 5 gallons of regular gas this evening in my JCW because I was talking on the phone and wasn't looking closely at what I was doing. After I noticed my mistake I stopped the pump and put another 7 gallons of premium gas. I'll be taking it easy for the next 350 miles or so lol. I hope i didn't do any permanent damage to my car.
