I haven't done anything special today, but my friend and I installed an Engine Start button last week...and it works! It's pretty flashy but I like it

I threw on a couple of stripes and added a little Union Jack love to the interior.

I put RainX on the windshield. Started raining this afternoon and it looks like it's not going to let up all week.

I found a new, better-fitting, insulated sunshade for the windshield yesterday.

I had the old one too long to return it, so waste not....

Today I "Customized" the old, ill-fitting, insulated sunshade with a pair of scissors and now have perfect-fitting moonroof/sunroof shades as a result. Now I need to find some of the material used for the shade's edging, and someone with a sewing machine I can borrow for a few minutes, so that the cut edge looks as nice as the rest of it.

I stopped in at the local Autozone where I had previously spent so much time and money trying to keep my previous car alive, and I chatted with Paul, the clerk (a nice older gentleman and fellow guitar picker) a bit while I considered picking up a small can of paint to paint the "S" on my intercooler cover red. I am glad I decided not to, as I've seen a better idea on another thread here: get a spare "S" logo and JB-Weld it to the intercooler cover....

I would have loved to have taken a nice drive, but it's been pouring most of the day here, and most of the scenic out-of-town places I like to drive are prone to flash-flooding.... At least I got to run a couple errands.

I also briefly considered the possibility shaving the "C" off of the rear "COOPER S" badge, then relocating the "S" in its place. Decided to leave it as-is for now.

C ya,
Dutch

Went to the beach with my soon-to-be-2-year-old son. Had the top down most of the time. Dodged raindrops the rest. Opened her up on the freeway later when it was just me. Got a little more used to torque steer & practiced heel/toe downshifting.

Yesterday I gave her another bath. Then it rained ALL freaking day!
I drove her to work, it was dry but 2 of my deliveries were on a dirt mud road, so I drove at 12 mph down the mud. It almost kept the car clean, there's a little mud splatter on her now, but she'll get another bath probably next week when I clean the wheels (again). Someone tell me WHY I bought white wheels?

Oh, and I need to clean her "room" as well since the speaker box is drying in there at the moment.

I hit a Fox on the way to work at 2 Am yesterday, spent the entire night taking the front bumper off and removing the remains. Now I need a new left front fog light bracket. That poor fox, feel bad for the little guy as he cant be fixed, the car will be.
Weekend project will be detailing the car, getting the snow tires off and either putting my New Rota's on or the New Excel 22s on, have not decided which ones I will use first.

Took the intercooler off and cleaned up the rubber boots that had a little oil on them . Iam running a catch can so very little in them. Inter cooler clean no oil. Took Map sensor tmap sensor and injector electricals apart and put dialectic grease on the electrial fittings and put them back together. Put dialectic on coil. Started up and everything ran well and was very smooth at idle. something I plan to do with other electrial fittings in the future.
