Friend Nicked My Cream Line Trim!!!
Friend Nicked My Cream Line Trim!!!
I gave my oldest and dearest friend a ride in my brand new Sparkling Silver MCS with wood and cream line interior. I have just about 1000 miles on it after a month. I love my car. It is fabulous. And now it has a tiny hole/dent/tear in the cream trim line above the glove box. I am furious at my friend
but trying to solve the problem rather than be emotional. But I don't know how to solve the problem. Any advice would be much appreciated!

My guess is if you take it into the dealer and point it out, they very well may replace it under warranty. I've heard of scuffed seat backs and other things being replaced the same way. Worth a shot! If not, then I'd probably just order a new piece.

Is it one of these parts?

If it is piece 13, looks like it would cost around $120 + shipping to replace.

Another option would be to try a vinyl repair kit, but getting a professional to do it might be better.

I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune, but why are you furious at your "oldest and dearest friend"?
Did your friend pull out a pocket knife and deliberately plunge it into your trim, or was it an accident?

... and if the "hole/dent/tear" really is "tiny" like you say, it just might be that you are the only one who would ever notice it. Granted, it is still an annoying imperfection that you don't want, but your car won't stay perfect forever (obviously), so maybe you could just let this go?
I've used this kit successfully in several places on my 79
