HP Accuracy of the Scangauge II
I have been playing around with the SGII more and more lately and was wondering how accurate the hp readout is. I reached 210hp yesterday and with an intake/exhaust/boost tubes/inlet combo I could see that being true but I'm really just curious.
At any rate, I really just want to see it go up or down when i change something, so the readout accuracy isn't THAT important

When I setup a SCII I use the letters "EHP" = Estimated Horse Power. The SCII is using other data to estimate the HP it's not the same as a Dyno run HP reading.

It's just a guess based on the engine parameters the Scangauge reads. Kinda like a calculation of engine rpm x vehicle speed x distance, then figures how much HP it would take to move your car with the size engine you have.
