So I have been seeing a lot of cars here lately that look like a MINI and I think that they may pretend to be a MINI so I was wanting to start this thread to see how many cars out there think that they are MINIs.

I will begin with the Toyota FJ with its body and roof being different colors. Its trying to think it is a MINI.

 

hhhmm....FJ is the one with steroid

 

If you look at the early Toyota Landcruiser you will also see a contrasting roof also. That is what they are aiming for. No way that thing is remotely posing as a MINI.

Funny thing today my wife and I were driving and some REALLY lowered, what looked like a fiberglass bodied, short and small what I thought was a mini. He honked and we went by and by the time I realized what it was, we were past it.

It almost looked like a Nascar legends car in the shape of a mini.

Well anyway, besides the ford flex looking like a MINI.. i'm not sure what this one is, but it definitely is NOT a mini!:

 

One thing is for sure it can't be MINI's SAV, it's not ugly enough.

 

What car is that? It looks crazy.

 

Look at the Kia Soul. The shape of the side windows is like our MINIs'.

 

Wait could it be that Chinese copy that was announced earlier this year.

 

Somebody already posted the Flex, but it goes beyond the white roof. They also wrapped the rear pillars in glass as well.

 

The first few times I saw a flex, I though it was a Clubman.

 

Earlier this week I had a UPS driver stop by my house to deliver a package and saw my Mini parked out front and said, "That's a really nice PT Cruiser." And I said, "Yes its a nice Mini Cooper S."

I really see almost no resemblance besides the hatchback design.

There's been threads on it, ....but to me it resembles more of an xA or xD, than a mini

 

It looks like a miniVAN to me. It just looks so big...

 

yeah... not mini look alike but the fact that they comparing mini with... THOSE "things"... "sigh"

Just after looking at these photos and that video comparing the MINI to an SX4, Ive gotten a little angry.

 

I am no closet SX-4 fan, but anyone posting here ever actually drive one?

The other day I was following one through about 5 miles of twisties and damn if I didn't have to work to keep up. Didn't seem to handle bad at all. Maybe the 4 wheel drive helps.

If your budget didn't allow a Mini they might be a more fun answer than a Toyonda offering. Never driven, or even sat in one, but if I needed such a car, I would check it out.

Until I do that, I won't knock them too hard.
