It would probably look goofy taking it off with that molding in the roof but maybe that could be an aftermarket option of a better styled spoiler. And I think that it isn't going to be a hatch in that back I think that it might just be a trunk. But notice I am constantly repeating nicely styled spoiler cause I know someone is going to put on a Book shelf spoiler and make the car look like crap. But over all it looks like they took the r56 stuck on a r53 grill and made a new top. But hey someone could try at least to get the idea of what it would look like with out a spoiler. Plus that also could be a S option so the non S might not have it.
Luggage capacity is 250 litres or 8.8 cu ft. To use this space most conveniently, the rear end of the MINI Coupé Concept comes with a large and wide-opening tailgate. Hinged above the roof spoiler, the entire tailgate including the rear window swings up gracefully, offering convenient access to the generous luggage space behind the rear seats of the car.
It also says "rear seats". Which would also be the "front seats".
I think that the final production will look better and it will look better in person
They haven't even "revealed" it to the public and it's already going into production? Alright then... let's see how similar the actual production version is to the concept. Hopefully Frankfurt's unveiling will look better in person. I guess we'll know in two weeks.
Parts of it I like and parts I don't. Definitely would have to see it in person before I decide if I like it or not. Even though I love the Cooper interior, I kind of wish they came up with something a bit different for this.
Looks like that may have been one of the drawings before the fullsize mock up and working model was made. Cause it looks like some of that made it into what was released.
Did MINI hire the GM Designers? It looks like crap...
If you're going to spend outside of $30K, there are other alternatives...If they priced this within $23-27K...it gives us MINI Owners more selection of models to choose from within that range...I'm not spending $30K on a MINI.
Why not a concept car with a refreshed interior and outside (next generation) look? How about a Hard Top convertible?
a couple of posters seemed to be wishing for a rear wheel drive.....I've only driven/owned FWD's...........what is the advantage of RWD in a small car?
