You know I really think it is a neat looking car. I would perfer to see it in person cause it the picture doesn't look like it does it justice. Also on the back I like it cause that little over hang looks like it might act like a mid wing and if you put a nicely styled spoiler with it it might have some aerodynamic advantages. Also it is so small that rwd compared to fwd doesn't really matter actually it might be detremental to how the car handles. The fron looks like they went back to the r50/r53 days with the grill but still has the snub hood/hoodscope of the r56. They also have inlets there in the lower grill that might be indicating a better induction system for the engine. My only really recomendation is make it were you can remove the top and roll around Targa top style. But my overall imperession is I think Mini is making a wise decision in offering a coupe.

I'm on the fence. I know it's not in the MINI heritage, but RWD would be... incredible.

I bet you will be able to see the traffic lights when you come to a stop under them.

I'm basically thinking of this as a GP w/ less storage and more aerodynamics...

My wife and I were looking at some more pics last night, and decided that from the rear it looks a bit like an R57 with an ill-fitting toupee.

I like the way this looks a lot!

What I think would be REALLY kool though is if they made it a hard top roadster. Something with a removable top (NOT A CONVERTIBLE), no back seat, and keep the rakish from windscreen.

I am very happy that MINI is keeping the line fresh and I personally am way more excited about this coupe than a SUV!

Lets hope a word on production comes out SOON!

I admit that I am not the best at Photoshop, but I gave the speedster a shot based on the coupe.

^^^^COOP310^^^ Looks pretty good. A higher belt line toward the back, and the roof removed would really show if it would be feasible.

Group: If they build it; will we buy it? Both the Speedster and the Coupe?
