The body kit doesn't really look all that bad if was painted not such a loud color, though I've never been a fan of scissor-style doors. It only works with a certain Italian car company for the sake of this thread will remain nameless. In all fairness this car looks like it was done very well for its time. Most likely a former SEMA showcar or custom car audio shop. Whatever the case maybe it was design to get attention & it has done just that.
right up there with VTEC classics or the guy who put a Nissan V6 in a MK1 ...
cool in their realm, but destruction of the original theme
Hey Capt BJ, I agree a little with you about the classics, but I had originally thought of doing the VTEC mod in my '73. Mainly for reliabilty issues.
Agree though, the doors have to go. Lambo doors should be left to the Lambos. Other than that, I guess to each his own. I can't knock someone for doing this to the car, when I've blacked mine's exterior out and adorned the interior with purple accents.
I have to pass on it... it's way too red. The gaps between the body panels, (bonnet, boot, rear bumper) are enormous, which is what offends me most. I kinda like the big fenders though.
