When I look at the car... I am reminded of a Seinfeld episode where an elderly couple was admiring a painting of Cosmo Kramer... I think the old woman said: "...he's a loathsome, offensive brute-- yet I cannot look away."

There is definitely an artistic quality to this MCS. The upgrades alone have to be worth ten grand I would assume.

I hate the huge wheel arches. From the front it looks really weird. However, I love the color, seats, NOS, etc. The screens are a little much but It looks very well done. I kinda like the door inserts painted the body color

Well, that body kit from the back and the fender flares remind me of the old R5 Turbo... Yes it's a bit flashy for most tastes I'd guess. But it appears to be for the show circuit and you don't get trophys by being understated.

After reading all of the retching and gagging reply posts first, when I finally got to the pics it wasn't near as bad as I was expecting. It's certainly nothing I'd ever be caught driving, but the amount of work put into it is mighty impressive.

Of course, unless a buyer comes along who has more money than they know what to do with, there's zero chance of the seller recovering even a major fraction of their investment. Maybe the guy should take up restoration of classic Minis -- now THERE's a market to be tapped.

I am DEFINITELY in the minority when I say (assuming it runs well) that I kind of like it - or more realistically, what I could do with it very quickly, and for not a lot of jing.

Ditch the nitrous, and change out the wheels for something, umm, not chrome. Possibly get rid of some of the ICE, though it'd be kind of fun at MOTD or car shows. Just drive it as a nice weather car. But... for $20+k? I dunno 'bout that...

Would I do mine like that? No, but my "mission statement" is "all-weather fun driving car".

Lighten up folks!

Although it is not something that I would buy or desire, I can appreciate it for what it is. It is a competition car show car. It is well executed and well thought out. I am sure that it has received some well deserved car show trophies. A daily driver it is not! A track car it is not! A head-turner-Trailer-Queen-Show car it is.
Lighten up folks! No one is asking you to buy it. Appreciate it for what it is and don't feel threatened by it!

Well, I like the color, but all the "Fast and Furious" mods to it are not my cup of tea. I did think the back of the car, with 2 subs, was interesting, there's a lot of work in that there car, and all the work looks clean (no duct-tape, paperclips, bubblegum holding things together).

The engine mods look interesting, I really wonder what it would do on a dyno.

Otherwise, there's 19 people that think it's worthy of buying, so somewhere in the universe there's people with similar tastes

The older I have gotten the more tollerent I have become (except for my moral principals!). I think it would be interesting to see the age of the "Accepting" -vs- "I Hate it" opinions. I would guess that the "Accepting"s are either younger than 28 of older than 45, I am well into the later group. The "Haters" are between 28 and 45. Anyone want to poll in? Be honest!

So, I've been here for four years now and I've seen a lot of these mods done in piecemeal to lots of different cars. With the exception of the Lambo doors - which, I'm sorry ONLY belong on a Lambo - the car's beautiful.

Granted, the body kit is a bit too over-the-top for me. But the only MINI kits I like for a 1st gen are the official kit and the Orciari kit (which is what I'm leaning toward for my car).

But my point is that if an owner posted with that interior we'd be praising it left and right. Or if someone had that stereo by itself. Of the NOS (on a Cooper though????). Put them all together its a really well done car that, in some parts of the country can certainly be more than just a show car.

Just my $.02

I will admit that I am honestly within your range of "hater" ages... LOL! But wait... I will ask my children who are teenagers what they think...

The girl immediately said, "Ewww! Lame!"

The boy teenager said, "That is cool!"

My husband said, "Meh... looks rice to me." (My hubby is also in your hater range of ages).

Paint - nice
wheels - nasty
stereo upgrades - pretty cool
tv screens - lame
NO2 - leaning towards lame
body kit - unique
interior - very well done
lambo doors - one of the worst things to ever be put on a car.

It's a MINI!

Someone really personalized it. To their taste, not mine (except for the Lambo doors).

I really like it.. ill admit it. I like the back.. the speakers and monitors.. looks cool to me.. but there again... I like that overthetop look.. and I could look at a plain mini.. and make comments like some here.. like why god why.. its a mini... why not bling it out a bit.. but thats the beauty of the mini... its yours.. you do what you like with it.. doesn't mean we will all like it or hate it..
