New MINI credit card website. No rewards?

On the new MINI Financial Services where you can see your activity on your MINI card have you been able to find the MINI Rewards section?

OMG...wow, let me check! I didn't even think about that...I hope I didn't lose the 6,000 points I had amassed!

I just checked, too...I can't find the points noted anywhere. There is still mention of them on the main financial serivices page, though.

...another thing to check would be the monthly statment. Isn't the current points balance listed there too?

As long as they list points on the statement, I would expect the points are still part of the plan.

Currently I have 63,000 pts accrued and just redeemed 10,000 pts yesterday for a dealer purchase (Around $100 bucks).

Yes. The points are reflected on the monthly paper statement.

We should be good to go then. I cashed in 50,000 points ($500) a few months ago... but I was wondering if I should cash in what's left, just in case.

Even if they do cancel the rewards program, I hope they honor the points that were already established as of the date of cancellation.

I have not heard anything to that effect (Program cancellation). And if they do, I am sure they will upkeep the points previously accrued. Last year we cashed in 50,000 pts when we bought the Clubman. So far to date, we have accrued over 110,000 pts on the MINI card.

Read the fine-print on the CC Reward Agreement, usually allows them to change the rules entirely at their discretion, usually with a short notice for you to just cancel the account.

My Capital-One CC had built up over 30k points, worth $300 cash rebate, upon request for rebate, found that formula had been cut in half and only payed $150.

The above was just one of many instances of various CC outfits changing the Reward rules in 'the-middle-of-the game'.

Make sure you read, understand and agree to every notice they send you and realize that they don't guarantee to pay-off on 'Rewards'.

OK, so what's the deal with this card??

It was something offered at time of purchase, or you applied before/after the purchase for it? And you guys got credit for your vehicle purchases, right?

You apply for the MINI Financial Services CC just like any other credit card. You will not necessarity get Credit for your MINI Purchase unless you actually use the MFSCC for the purchase of your MINI, I seriously doubt a Car Dealer will let you pay for a Vehicle Purchase with a CC.

I applied for my card a month or so after Molly came home, I wished I would have applied the day I ordered Molly, I would have way more points than I do now with all of the accessories and Car Care stuff I've purchased.

Since the Dealer has to pay 'points' when you use a Credit Card, they usually won't allow it for the full purchase.

They will take your Credit Card for the deposit, this way you not only get your 'Reward' but some protection in a dispute.

So 50,000 points IS a lot of spending. I thought that was an indicator that the car had somehow been credited to the card.
