Thanks! She's a sweetheart, but she isn't allowed in my car until I get her a seatbelt and a cover for the back seat. I'm anti-golden fur in my black interior

Nice I like the roof rails. I wish we had ordered them for our clubman.

Dang, why did I have to find this thread? I thought I had made up my mind going with MCS BRG/W, Bonnet Stripe, CLE, Driving Lamps....but now I think I might like the HzB better!

Maybe I'll make a trip out to the dealer today to see if there are any sitting in the lot for me to look at in person.

Finally!!!!!!!!!!

New to this forum (offically signed up today), but have been reading and researching on it for awhile. I have wanted a Mini Cooper since 2001, but realized it wasn't very practical for a dreamer with a little one. In 2008, the barn doors to the sought after dream were finally made possible with the release of the new Clubman. After a long, yet somewhat patient wait, I picked my boy up on June 6th, 2009. I look forward to many years of happy motoring!!!!!

Welcome, Sherra! Congrats on your new Mini! What are the spec's? And you must post pictures once you have it. As far as I know, the best roads to motor on are near Austin so you should definitely take your Mini to Austin for a visit. Try going to the Oasis, great roads and great drinks

Thanks

for the welcome lacynpiper. I have been to the Oasis. Very nice. Not sure when I will be able to drive my Mini to Austin. Dorm move-in in August requires an SUV! Probably won't be until late Sept. or so when I can take a rode trip to Austin in the Mini. Saw on the OL, my mini has arrived at the distribution center.

Don't think I'll be taking my golden babies in the Mini. I don't like what they leave on my windows!

What? You don't think that slobber goes well with the Mini? LOL, I agree. My golden won't be in my car until I have a safety harness and mat for the back seat for her. Enjoy the wait!!

*ears perk up*

Do tell of these fun Texas roads. We've got some good ones a little ways NW of San Antonio. I remember some fun ones near Austin, but I can't recall any specific numbers/names.

If you don't want to de-rail this thread any further, a PM will work.

Another Horizon Blue Clubman for the HB club!

Just stumbled across this thread!!! Most definitely add us to the club with our "CLUBBIE S".....we picked it up on the 16th of May.....2009 Clubman S with details in my siggy....here are a few picks of it!

The image below we took on the way to the dog park today...the first ride for the "pups"...they had a ball! We have a "pet hammock" that we got at Petsmart that works well for the doggies. We looked into the PoochStyles one, but we will be leaving the seats up so that luggage and things we don't want the dogs to get at on trips will be "safely" out of the way!

The one below is of my wife and our youngest border collie/golden/coyote mix that we picked up at the shelter last year. She was picked up as a stray wandering along the highway (No....Not the girl in the picture...the dog.... )

We picked the MCCS at the dealer and got them to take a bit off of the price, throw in the Cooper S rubber matts all the way around, and had them tint the full car (Pano roof at 20% and the rest at 35% which is the state's legal limit). The tinting does WONDERS for the heat and looks GREAT! This is my wife's car and we absolutely LOVE IT! For me (when I get to drive) it has simply been the most fun car I have had the pleasure of driving!

We elected to go the clubman route for our dogs...the extra space makes all the difference in the world! I absolutely love the 6 speed manual and have really enjoyed the "hill assist" that comes with it! I have always owned manual transmission cars and not one has had this except for the MINI! As far as issues go... none to date (1100 miles on it today) and the pano sunroof gets used ALL the time! I actually enjoy the screens as opposed to a full block out as our other cars have.

As far as the interior we elected to go with the cloth. This is the first car we have had with cloth. Usually we go with leather. While test driving the leather, leatherette, and cloth we both agreed that the cloth was the most comfortable for us! I have never experienced a cloth like this before....I really love the way it feels!

Take care and would love to be added to the list!

Regards,

Mike

You know, Mike - that car would be perfect, if only it had a black roof!
