It was a great day at Lime Rock! Here's some pics of all our MINI's on the track. Thanks to nemini member Saffyre for the great shots!
Wow... great pics.
I wonder if MINI USA was there taking down plates so to void warranties.
Your sig pics are uber cool.
With 90+ cars on the track, we only received (2) parade laps this year. I think the floats in the Rose Bowl parade have a faster average speed than we did!! Anyway, I did get 89mph going down the hill and hitting the main straight (1.5mile road course) on lap 2 using a space it out rolling restart like you sometimes see on NASCAR. It was super cool to have so many cars involved!
Glad you like the sig pictures. The local Glamour Shotz studio in the mall couldn't believe it when we drove in!!

Well this is odd... I don't think I have ever seen a MCS owner that wanted people to think that they had a Just A Cooper.
Both the Badging and the license plate indicate a Cooper and not an S.

Here's another great pic by Saffyre at nemini - from our day at Lime Rock Park!
Thru the LRP eSSes!

Track days aren't competitive, at least not the ones I go to.
I would agree with you, but see other posts in here where MINI USA denied warranty coverage on what they considered competitive events, notwithstanding the MINI owners' position that they were not competitive. I would submit that simply referring to something as a "track day" may put one in trouble with a service advisor looking for a reason to deny warranty coverage, so when going in for warranty work don't even mention the words.
In the end, it's MINI's vague wording ["any competitive"] that controls since they are the ones with the checkbook, so to speak. Who needs the hassles.

Those are just the coolest pics. I made this one my wallpaper.

No worries! This event was organized and sponsored by MINI of Manhattan.

Their MA's and SA's were active participants in the parade laps! I drove up to the track from NYC in a 6 car rally with one of their MA's leading and one of their SA's sweeping. We did a 100 mile sprint up two awesome parkways with average speeds triple of what we averaged on the track!
Great day overall!
Saw a few MINIs today on my trip thru the North Fork of LI, NY on my way to Ronkonkoma. Didn't see any on the ferry going or returning to New London.
There was a nice CR/BK 2nd Gen MCS at the company I visited but did not find out who owned it.

From Daytona Beach Florida to Denver Colorado
I drove out to Devver two weeks ago and only spotted one Mini. It was in Kansas and had California tags. I was doing 75mph in a Toyota pickup and the Mini passed me like I was standing still. I'm pretty sure he had to be doing at least one hundred mph. Kansas has nice road surface. The speed limit was 75mph. Great stright stretch but the 1994 small pickup I was driving was feeling to fast at the speed limit. I was thinking of getting a mini for a while. When that Mini went by me and looked so stable and just plain cool looking I knew I had to have one. I bought one Sept 1st. 2009 JCW Red/black top& sport stripes.

Today seemed to be clubman day, there was the chocolate and black on which couldn't decide which lane it was in on the way to work. There was the usual chocolate and silver in the parking lot. There was another chocolate and black which I though was the same as the first. Finally, there was a blue and silver going to lunch.
Chocolate and black looks pretty good, the trim isn't as ugly as the silver.

At the Farmer's Market this morning I was passing a CR/W whose owner was just getting into the car. I stopped, said "Nice car. Love the color." She said pretty much the same thing. Chatted for a bit, twas a parking lot and I put my hazards on, and told her about NAM and have her the address. So with any luck, NAM'll get a new member.
And she can then join CROC because we all know you can't have too many CROCs (what with their high mortality rate in the cartoon strip "Pearls Before Swine" which is one of my favorites along with "Get Fuzzy" whose arrogant cat who goes on rants is hysterical). But I digress.

Went to the Magical MINI Tour .. on Treasure Island today.
Saw way too many MINIs to count, but there were sure some nice ones.
Will post some pics as soon as I "develop" the film.
I highly recommend it if you are in the area. I did not pay for the event, but seeing all the MINIs [about 100 or more] did not cost.
Also, the vendor area is free and I sadly [not really] unloaded $300 there on cool stuff. Got me some Black Wow, Union Jack mirror caps, key ring, convex review mirror [super cool solution to the poor visibility on the convertible] and other items. Almost blew it and bought the MINI cuckoo clock they had. But I resisted.

Too busy to post my sightings last two days.
But tonight on my bike ride:
25
A good day for the count.
Saw some cool ones, pics to be posted. But here is one. An action shot with the cable car in the background.

And the only other one was.... drum roll please.... today.
And I have the pics to prove it!
Another oddity, I was taking a pic of this gold MINI [never have seen one of those before] and while I have the camera out a Clubman was pulling out of Crissy Field. So I was able to snap the pic in time to get the Clubman in the shot. Otherwise would have missed the Clubman.

Here's the balance of the pics for the day, that is, on my ride today.
This was across the street from Marina Green, coincidentally there was this one in the driveway and a few blocks down, another in the driveway. Never noticed them before. Looks like the MINIs in these pics don't get to rest in the garages. Too bad because it gets quite damp at night, with the fog and all.
Another strange coincidence, these two MINIs on the same block, so to speak, were both convertibles. I am beginning to think that some MINIs are segments of the same worm, cut into pieces and wiggling around the same part of town.

The other MINI a few blocks down from the BRG MINI.

This dark silver MINI was parked at the Fort Point - Crissy Field area. This was one of four Dark Silver MINIs I saw. I don't get it. Why do I see none of a color on some rides, then on a day like today I see four. Recall the Marina Safeway where there were two yellow in the same lot, practically next to each other. Then another time there were two blue MINIs in the same spots as the yellow. Really odd.

Another Dark Silver parked on Hyde Street, next to the cable car. Around the corner was the Pepper White that I got with the cable car in the shot. MINIs are everywhere in this town.

This is the Pepper White that had the new car paper plates on it [see previous posts.] Looks like he got his plates now. A real shame that this nice, new MINI S has to park outside. I will be keeping an eye on it to see what kind of damage it suffers from being outside. The owner keeps it very clean. Over the past month it has appeared "just washed" despite it staying out in the damp, dirty environment all night and day.

Just another shot of the same car, to document its pristine condition front and back.
