I saw more MINIs today than I've seen any other day since I picked up MINI on Saturday. A Clubman on the way to work and 6-7 others during my travels. I even parked across from one at the gym. As I was leaving the gym I saw someone driving a BRG MINI pulling into the parking lot. I waved and thought I was getting one in return but then realized that he may have been adjusting his sun visor. Hmmm, I'll never know for sure so I'll assume it was a wave. I'm not finding very friendly MINI drivers in my area but I keep waving as it makes me happyl

 

6 today, 2 while out and about, 4 from our front porch.

Oh man, I gotta take PICTURES now? I don't even know how to d/l photos from my phone to my computer! (except that I have Verizon, and they'd probably charge me something like $3/photo)

 

No, no, pictures are optional.

Don't even pay your carrier for pics taken on your cell. I had that "option" with Sprint about five years ago and it was one of the reasons I left them, because the only way I could get pics from the camera to my computer was to pay them 10 cents for each upload to their servers.

I could not believe that it was only six months ago that someone told me Verizon still has that uploading nonsense.

 

I didn't see a single MINI today, not even my own.

I saw one LY yesterday - two dudes with the car COMPLETELY stuffed (looked like college) from Florida groooooovin their way north. It was funny: I drove parallel to them until they realized I was even THERE, and both lit up, and gave the peace sign. At least...I THINK it was the peace sign...It might've been the not-so-nice-BRITISH sign....nah. THey were too "groovy" to do that.

Oh yeah...saw LOTS of used ones on the MINI lot when I dropped my poor car off last night. Considering the noises everybody on NAM is making over that kind of thing, I was really surprised the dealer had ANY. But then again, they HAVE sent me multiple notices: "WE KNOW YOU HAVE A MINI...AND WE WANT IT!!!" They want to buy MY MINI from me. HA! YOU'LL NEVER GET TO KEEP IT!!!!!

Saw an AB/B one early this morning! Nice way to start the day. Would have waved, but I was driving the "MINI support vehicle" not the MINI.

 

I cruised through the main parking lot and the garage at work today, surveying the MINIs. I was surprised there were so few. I didn't bother cruising the lots at any of the other buildings.

 

none today. I didn't go out.. but I configured on a whim a MCC - and I'm not a big fan of it (shhh) but I really like what I built - expensive... came to $34,900

I spied 3 MINIs today. 1 Chili Red, 1 Liquid Yellow, 1 Jet Black.

 

Just a few, Btwyx??? I'd like to see your version of "a lot."

Today, I saw (but have never mentioned it) the MY/W in a parkinglot near the house (school? post office?)...AND I saw a CR/B at a construction site near work!

 

I saw two MINIs today; a blue Clubman in the Lincoln Tunnel heading into Manhattan, spied from the bus; and a PW/B motoring east on 42nd St. as I walked over to Bryant Park to play Petanque at lunchtime.

Saw five on the way to teaching. High number considering they were all going in my direction.

Odd thing developing, one I saw yesterday was new, three I saw today were new [all with new car stickers.] Lots of new MINIs out there.

The one Chili Red had a nice looking girl who ignored me when I passed, but then she sped up and followed me for some time, in the lane next to me. Then my turn-off came up and she slipped over the horizon. So the extent of our love will never be known.

I typically see around 6 when I walk the dog for about 20 minutes (Russian Hill, San Francisco). I've seen as many as 12 -- average of almost 1 every 90 seconds!

 

0 Mini's today. Except mine of course.

 

Or, rather, tickets for speeding AND stalking!!

 

0 so far for me today, including mine I don't know why this part of the whole wait process has me so peeved except that there's no reason for my car still to be at the VDC!

One thing I haven't seen many of (just two overall, in the course of 2-3 months of looking) are Clubmen (Clubmans?) One CR/B, one LB/S

Except that isn't a MINI the photo taker's driving, is it? Why the squared off mirrors with matte black plastic and square/rectangular vents?

 

I was going to make fun of the car he was driving, since it looked like some kind of economy Japanese car. But I bit my tongue and simply said "your MINI."

I was also going to ask where the hell his MINI was, but I passed on the inquisition too since it is none of my business where his MINI is at.

34 [A good day, lots of action].

14 on my road bike ride, the balance while walking around downtown.

Got a few action shots with my cell phone camera.

I am beginning to think that Pepper White and Chili Red are the two most popular colors. Saw a boat load of those two colors today.

Also odd, saw five new MINIs, meaning with the new car dealership label where the license plate goes. If you look at my earlier posts, I am seeing new MINIs everyday. Sure seems like a lot.

 

Those are great photos, MichaelSF! There's nowhere near that many out here....

 

Actually I'm starting to wonder if there is a little Photoshop funny business going on.
The pictures are all conveniently blurry and out of focus which lends to the suspicions.

 

SO far I've seen 2 MINIs, a gorgeous CR/W with bonnet stripes in the Northpark parking lot. And a PW near that area.

Hopefully I will see some more later.
