To get rid of the bugs ...soak a thick towel in warm water and lay it over them for about 15 or 20 minutes. They should wipe right off after that. Works for me.

just be glad it wasn't your wife who rolled over a fresh deer carcass and then ask you two days later to remove the deer jerky from the power steering fan and Miltek exhaust. There was even grass dried on the bumper from the exploding stomach.

good thing this sort of thing doesn't bother me being a formally trained archaeologist has it's advantages (you tend to eat your lunch in the pit with the bones )

 

Gotta blame my wife for this too.
She called me last night at 10:00 from a small town thirty miles away, with a flat tire on her minivan.

I couldn't take the M Roadster out with bugs about, so the MINI got the duty (it was a little dirty already).

After observing all those frogs doing their lemming impersonation, I think I made the right choice.

Even the bugs are bigger here in Texas...

 

We had a similar experience a couple of years ago. My wife had taken Gromit to the dealer in Memphis for service. The route takes us by many rice fields, which have healthy frog populations. Driving that area at night is really disgusting as there are SOOOO many frogs in the road.

The next morning I'm washing Gromit and see something sticking out of the lower grille. I reach down and pull it out-thinking it's grass or some other part of a plant-and out comes the remains (aka corpse) of a frog.

CR&PW&JB should be familiar with the area I'm referring to just north of Blytheville, AR. He should be glad he's no longer stationed there. It would create major problems with his OCD.
