Yuck!
We had a similar experience a couple of years ago. My wife had taken Gromit to the dealer in Memphis for service. The route takes us by many rice fields, which have healthy frog populations. Driving that area at night is really disgusting as there are SOOOO many frogs in the road.
The next morning I'm washing Gromit and see something sticking out of the lower grille. I reach down and pull it out-thinking it's grass or some other part of a plant-and out comes the remains (aka corpse) of a frog.
CR&PW&JB should be familiar with the area I'm referring to just north of Blytheville, AR. He should be glad he's no longer stationed there. It would create major problems with his OCD.

Now... another place I was stationed: Guam. They don't ahve that many frogs (because of the Brown Tree Snakes), but the ones they have, if they jump up and hit your grill, you very likely are going to need a new grill. Those frogs are about the size of a coconut. THUMP !
I'm VERY familiar with that area, Mike. And YOU have a good memory to remember I was stationed there. Some of the best BBQ shacks in the U.S. but yeah, flat as any spot on Earth and right by the mighty Mississipi... you see tons of frogs at night.

You were close, Doug.
Tarague.... yep. GORGEOUS. As are many of Guam's beaches. For an island only 28 miles long and about 4 miles wide, it sure has it's share of gorgeous beaches and terrain.
BTW, Doug... are you former US AIR FORCE ?? That beach is on the base.

I was TDY to Guam from Oct-Dec '73, and I got many a sunburn on that beach.
Ahhh, the good old days.
Very cool ! Looks like you went in right at the end of the war.
Me... Logistics, 1979-2002. Guam was one of my last assignments, 2000-2002. Gorgeous place and loved my first six months but I got tired of the heat and humidity. Had more than my share of fun there though... since I was single and unattatched at that time.

The group I went over there with was scheduled for a six month TDY, but they sent us all back home just before Christmas.
I got tired of the humidity too. And there's something about sitting at an outdoor movie theater in the rain.
It would take an awful lot of these tiny things to make a meal, though.
I killed more than just Kermit, I'm afraid.
When I went to the carwash, it stole all my quarters and I had to come back home without having blasted anything off my car, so I washed it all by hand.
I kept wondering how in the world I got all of this "grass or straw" inside the fender wells. (I'm in "farm country", so I didn't give it a lot of thought.)
Anyway, it wasn't grass or straw.
Even though I did take the car for one quick trip yesterday morning, I really hadn't gotten "up close and personal" until I washed it. The entire thing smells...well, kind of "froggy".
I need to go and get a good underwash.
We have a "Laserwash" place nearby that gives a nice, high-pressure underwash, though.
Nothing touches the car; so it's safe, even for a MINI. It should get rid of some of the "stuff".
beats the madd rabbits we have around here.
Im usualy driving and think dont do it so they do.
All those angry calls from bugs bunny about his cousins.
Last kill count is 13.
I need stickers like a worldwar 2 Ace.
Beats a customer of ours who slammed into a coyote at 125 in his 4 month old Zo6 the 500 hp one.

I wacked a bird yesterday. I saw him coming and couldn't do anything about it, felt bad for the little guy. "Pull up! PULL UP!" Thunk. Bonk. Got him with the mirror and the fairing.
In more upbeat news, I saved a turtle the day before that. It couldn't get over the curb so I jumped out and kicked him over the curb into the pond he was trying to get to. <- Not really. I put on some gloves at grabbed him. Wasn't sure if it was a snapping turtle so I figured a crushed finger inside a glove was slightly more sanitary than a crushed finger in a nasty turtles mouth.
I've seen birds hanging around stopped 18 wheelers to peck the bugs off the windshield and the grill. I don't know if the birds are lazy or smart. First time I saw it I didn't know what they were doing.
