YUCK!!!

I got an email from BMWNA trying to sell me BMWs. I never registered on a BMW site, only MINIUSA. Anyone else get one like this? I see where their marketing campaign is going now. Sell them a MINI, then in a year, try to get them to trade in for a beemer.

Got it yesterday...kinda weird, huh? Lotsa luck on their campaign to sell BMWs...I don't think it will work at all. Personally, I've never been a fan of BMW per se. It was the MINI that got my attention. Whoever gives us more of that, that's were my business will go.

Never have gotten anything except MINI related e-mails.

It really should not surprise anyone though that BMW wants to sell their cars to MINI owners. Look at the threads where people talk about getting M3s, Z4s, etc.... there are A LOT. And BMW doesn't really hide the fact that MINI is their "Gateway drug" to the more expensive lines. It's good marketing on their part. Only sell MINIs at BMW dealers.... No other manufacturer does that. Do you think GM wants to have a combined chevrolet/cadillac dealer??

LOL

MINI is a gateway drug!!!!

There are plenty of us that are happy just toking along with our MINIs and will never want to party with the more expensive "designer drug" cars.

Cheers,
Kim

Well that's just BULL. I just got through reading their privacy policy and now realize that I want to "opt out." Except I don't see any place to do it. I guess I'll just have to block sender from now on.

I got one also, immediately requested to be removed from their email list. I own a MINI not a BMW.

... I haven't got my eMail yet ... maybe they actually Do read my posts! - but I never actually called them the Evil Empire in print!

... I Did get a nice little box in the mail a few weeks ago: It had a little viewer thingie (the kind you hold up to the light) and it had a slide of the X3 (or something?) in it ... kinda 'first glimps' sorta thing ... oh, well - i don't think i'll be getting one of those either ...

Not unlike the MINI 'gift boxes' some of us reciever in the mail, this may have been Dealer Initiated - check with your dealer about getting taken off the list ...

I got the BMW spam, and promptly fired off 2 emails - one to BMW and one to Mini telling them how much I did not appreciate the spam. Might I suggest that all of you who do not appreciate the garbage in your inbox to let them know as well.

By the way, I test drove the Z4 before buying my Mini. I found the Mini to be a vastly superior car, for far less money.

Why all the marketing bashing? They sell cars, they dont send you emails every single day. What is wrong with them trying to cross market products. It obviously will not work well as the typical MINI buyer is different from the typical Bimmer buyer, but let them waste time and money employing good quality people (who knows where) doing it.

No more bmw bashing - its MINIUSA that sucks!

According to Autoweek Magazine (I think it was Autoweek) Many Mini owners are former or current BMW owners. Many buy their Mini's or MCS as a second or third car and also own a M3, corvette or 911.

I guess I fit that profile.

You know, I got one too... and, and I just don't know what came over me but the very second I saw it something clicked in my head so I ran out to my dealer and traded my MCS for a Bimmer 3 Series...
