Tux, the MINI Cooper S
Tux, the MINI Cooper S
Before Tux and I head up to Boston for the weekend, I wanted to share some pics of Tux, my Mini Cooper S.
I'm a big Linux fan. And, since I named my Mini after that cuddly little penguin I got the vanity plates to go with it- TUX.
Some might call this a "sacrilege" but she needed some flare:

My dealer gave me a cheap plastic one like the one that's on there. I chose not to use theirs as... well I didn't want to use theirs.
Wow, the Internet is a scary place, ay? Blanked out plates, the whole bit
You BOUGHT those bumper stickers?
Well, at least you've got a safe operating system ...
I'll be posting a pic of my Harmini's new vanity plates soon - they should be here in the next week or so! I hope! Minnesota doesn't allow personal information to be available through their plates (except to the owner) so I won't feel uncomfortable about posting the photo.
I don't think my Mini needs any more 'flair' than she already has - she is a Mini, after all ...

Uhh....that is the worst looking back-end of a MINI I have ever seen! Oh my... this even beats the Mac sticker.

I don't put many stickers on my cars though. When I get the urge, I buy sheets of flexible magnet material at a craft store, stick the stickers on that, cut them out...then car wax the magnetic backs. That way they don't hurt the paint, and I can change them whenever I want.

Wouldn't one sticker be enough to get the message out?
The license plate frame HAS to go. While saving up for another one, at least take a black marker to the white lettering. . . please.

Wow, that never crossed my mind. I'll have to look into that after I buy a new license plate frame.
UNIX here (OS X
), as well as a few Linux boxes across campus.
I concur with the other posts about stickers. No goop on my MINI! Personally I think all bumper stickers should also come as static clings

Your ubuntu sticker is on crooked, and lose the license plate frame! Maybe a couple too many penguins on there...
IMHO, if you're putting the effort in to INSTALL a sticker, try to get it level. My favorite is the crooked "my son is an honor student at..." which gets the comment "but don't you guys know how to use a ruler or level?" Take the time to do it right.
That said, other than that license plate frame, doesn't look bad as stickered-up cars go. Fairly balanced. Consider the magnet idea as an option to display several different stickers - you can remove and reapply depending on your mood. I definitely understand the you-ification aspect, and have a sticker or two on mine as well. I always try for balance in appearance, and it seems you've got that part licked.

Wow you guys are being a little harsh about the stickers.
I woulda put maybe one on the actual car and the rest on the windows, but whatever floats your boat
You should think about getting a huge vinyl piece for the roof that has Tux on it!

Novell/Suse server farm at work, old Gentoo box at home.
Edit: oh yeah and with the magnets, when you don't want 'em all on your car at once, they're great for the fridge!
