Beware of BIG BAD BARRY
I just had a terrible experience with the publisher of MC2 magazine Barry Brazier. I am a subscriber (but not for much longer) according to Barry. I called his office to simply enquire about a back issue which was ordered some two weeks ago. Instead of being professional and empathetic he laughed at me and said only two weeks huh? I find this abhorant and told him so he then became even more irrtate essentially calling me names and describing me as some unreasonable monster even though many other people have called to enquire about their magazines. I just wanted everyone to know how unprofessional this man is and the way he does business is outrageous.

Thus sayeth one side of the story.
I've had several exchanges with Barry, and they've been very pleasant. He's bent over backwards to get me lost or damaged issues.
I always suspect anyone who says how nice and reasonable they were, and how the other person was an ogre. You don't get an explosion without lighting the fuse.

I was a "charter" subscriber. In that first year, I received two heavily damaged issues and didn't receive another two issues. I sent an email about replacing one of the missing issues but never heard back. I think my experience was not typical, but I didn't re-subscribe. I do like the free t-shirt I got though!
