CUSTOM trailer

I will be running a set of wheels/tires for Auto-x and, even another for track.

So I wanted to build a trailer ...
But in true fashon "I can't JUST build a trailer"

I am making a "cam lock" device for the wheels

& I still need to paint the wheels to look like my street rims

Very nice, reminds me of a Miata I'd pass on Sat and Sun mornings on my way to work this summer (when I still had the day shift). He was fully loaded and enroute to one of the local tracks always got a thumbs up from me.

And if you don't go MINI wheels then at least get some center cap MINI stickers

The offset is wrong for the Mini wheels, they stick too far "in" - but getting a longer axle can cure that!

Also, cheap spraybomb paint can make those spokers black centered and silver rimmed...

The trailer is a Harbor Freight KIT.
This is the 4' x 4' - 12' wheel version (they do have a 8" version but those little things really get spinning)
The web site will sell often for less than the stores ... but on all items if you take the web info (SAME WEEK) they honnor the price. 169.99
I got the box from LOWES ($49.99) (and 2 x 4 plywood) for just the rear 1/2
The wheels are the ones that come with the kit ... I just had lots of time on my hands (I don't sleep much or watch TV)

I THINK WE WILL BE SEEING THIS DUPLICATED AT EVERY AUTO X FROM NOW ON! I HAVE FOUND A CAN OF "BARE ALLUMINUM " RATTLE CAN PAINT THAT IS A VERY GOOD MATCH TO THE PURE SILVER ON MY CAR WITH THE SILVER PAINTED CENTERLINE RIMS!

Nice finishing touches on the AutoX rig. I have the seat delete and found that my Hoosiers find well in the back seat area, then I load my tools in the boot area.

Yea ... I make a RSD kit myself, but just seem to need more and more goodies all the time.
Some of our upcomming events will be further away (we will be trailering from SFO to Vegas as well)
And I dont want to wrinkle my Elvis suit

Be careful that Elvis suit might bump you up a class. I also have Thule roof rack that I may use this year for pop up tent. If I had the room in the garage I'd buy a trailer too. I bet it's nice to leave it loaded and ready to go and not need to unload the back of my JUSTACOOPER at the end of a hot day on the pavement.

That is VERY sweet... my trailer sort of matches, can't get cheap spray bombs in Astro Black though! The lighting in the garage makes it look brighter than it actually is though.

One word of warning: Those trailer chains and hitch can get a mite warm there behind the exhaust pipes. Remove with caution after that long day on the pavement! Also, while the hitch weight on our little trailers won't strain the back muscles much, I found a cheap tongue wheel/jack a great addition for keeping the trailer level and moving it around.

Yours looks cooler, but mine has a bike rack and a roof! I've gotta find a spoiler though...

I have used this paint and can say the color match is near perfect. Electric Blue is not an easy color to duplicate with all the metallic in it, but this does a great job. I would guess the non metallic colors would be a dead on match.
