Great catch! Someone caught a MINI... Cooper that is!

So.. I just picked up my mini two days ago..

As i'm driving to work today..some guy passes in a boat..a hundred feet later I see what looked like a 4 gauge line heading towards my car..i'm likke..ok?..so i move over a little...and something hit my car..like a big hook.. twice!.. then i see in the rearview the line getting tighter and tighter...then *snap* ok..i park my car at work, check it out..realize a hook and line is caught on to my antenna (luckily i haven't found any damage/scratches..yet) my antenna on the other hand..well..was pretty much decapitated at the base...the moral of the story..i guess its time for a shorty antenna..so much for modifying the stock one to make it shorter lol

That guy is probably telling a story like Steve Young in the Toyota commercial!

Probably telling his buddies, "Nah, it was just a MINI. I had throw it back."

Oh my gosh - that's one of the funniest MINI stories I've heard in a long time. I'm glad there was no damage though except for the antenna.

....those MINI's they maybe small but they sure put up a fight!

This sounds like one of those things thar can only happen in south Florida where canals often are parallel to the roads and getting past by a boat in morning os common. When I lived in Ft Lauderdale I could use "drawbridge" as an excuse for being late (often true) to work as you could not get to my office without crossing one.

Your MINI is very young - they probably let you get away, so you'd have a chance to get bigger. Either that, or his bucket was already full of MINIs

I would have love to have been watching the guy in the boat. I wonder if his fishing rod got yanked out of his hands!
