How many miles on the odometer?

My 2007 MC Cabrio "Sidewalk" is only about 8 weeks old with only 1,500 miles on it. I love it. I'm just wondering what is the "conventional wisdom" on how long a MINI can stay in everyday service. How many miles are there on your MINI???

'05 MCS BRG/W. Low miles only about 24K but most of them are from runs and rallies :-) MTTS, MOTD, Ice Cream Run from Florida. Just those 3 runs are almsot 10k alone haha. Keep it in "everyday service until it dies... why not? I do hope though that it never dies. I've decided that my MINI is going to become a family herloom.. I'm NEVER selling it :-)

I've had my 05 Cooper S cab since Sept 05, already 22,000

My only issues were the:

poor brakes, took care of that changing the pads
the suspension way too stiff, ended up putting some softer shocks
the awful runflat tires (loud and stiff), fitted some conventional tires

Since then 22,000 happy miles, I drive it every day and really enjoy it.
The kids like it so much, we will keep it in the family for ever.

Victor

I've put on 23k miles in 10.5 months. I'm eager to get the runflats off and to get some Koni FSDs on to soften up the ride a hair. Other than that, life's been great!

I was noticing last night that I've put on over 22k in the last 8 months! Yikes! I like to drive the thing, but not into the ground.

Great to see so more information on higher miles. From the beginning of ordering my Mini everyone was focusing on resale, resale and resale. I felt like an odd ball telling them that I was ordering this for what I wanted on it, not the next person. I plan on having a real good time with my Mini for a real long time.

It seems that many buyers in this area lease their Mini with no plans to keep it, but to lease another when the lease runs out. I want it to be all mine. I also don't like the car payment thing in place forever.

04 MCS with 36,000 miles. Only major issue was a clutch that went out at 25,000 miles (was told "this is normal for San Francisco" by the dealer...whatever). I drove it from Louisiana to California 4 times, including the break in period, and used it as a daily driver for 3 years or so (ive been really sick the last year and only put about 6k miles on it, including the 2k from SF to New Orleans). I was thinking about trading it for an 08, but I might just keep it until it dies. Overall I'm really happy with it (as long as I don't have to deal with the dealership)...

Just over 4 1/2 years old and just over 152,000 miles. Click here for a write up at 150,000. Its been a great car, with very few problems, and I still look forward to driving it ever day!!!

Road Trip

I picked up my Mini (The DB Cooper) on 7/2/2007. It now has 7991 miles on it. Of course I am on an extended road trip across Canada and the US and I still have at least 3500 miles to go, if I went stright home. The only problem I have had, is that today my 3 year old XM radio died. I had The DB Cooper up to 113MPH today on a stright B road here in the thumb of Michigan. He likes it...
