Do you prefer driving your MINI during the day or the night?

I've always loved driving at night. Cars just seem to run smoother at night. And my MINI is no different! And there's just something about the glow of that dash board...and neon light's bouncing off a freshly waxed surface as you sail through the city. Guess I've always been a nightowl and the MINI fits like a glove when I travel in the dark...

Hmmmmm.... never thought of it....

Night, definitely. The intercooler likes the colder, denser air, there's far less traffic, and the mini lights are pretty good... Deer are a concern though.

Night, or perhaps early morning. Less traffic, less concern for the long arm of the law..

I prefer the day.........but I'll take either!! I like day because my old eyes don't care for night as much as they used to......but having said that, I really enjoy the R56 mood lighting and I so motor at night whenever I can. It's hard to do with daylight savings, so I now have something to look forward to when the days get shorter.

It depends where I'm driving. On a real twisty, I prefer to see more than the headlights will show me.

On a long stretch out on the desert, driving at night is great. Aside from suicidal, kamikaze jackrabbits.

We found that the loaner had no panel lights, no bright "detent," and headlights aimed dangerously low. I had to drive home manually holding the brights on, and hoping for the best. You'd better believe I'll complain when I get Zippeee! back!

Actually with the heat of the sun in the southeast this time of year and Hopkirk having the big sunroof, the evening is a bit more comfortable. I have always enjoyed driving at night as well-I think it allows me better focus and less eye strain-I hope I never loose my night vision.

I have the big sunroof, too. Have you tried Limo tint (5%)? It gets hot and humid here (last week it was near 100) and I was amazed how much of a difference it made.

By most accounts I'm a yougin', but my nightvision is pretty bad. It's definitely more enjoyable to drive in the sun and getting a sunroof burn.

Well, when you put it like that, yeah, nighttime is fun. But as I get older (ok, I'm not THAT old!) I like night driving less, just because all of the headlights in the darkness are a strain on the eyes.

Day time for me. Too many deer around here to drive in a spirited fashion at night.

I assume both allow you to be behind the wheel. So, "YES!"

daffodildeb, Best of luck in getting Zippeee back home!

I love to drive (travel) at night, less people on the road and more relaxing.
but a good road with a nice view has to be in the daytime.

Guess I just like to drive

I know they are self adjusting but there might be some further adjustment needed if your cut-off line is too low. According to the new book "MINI- 50 YEARS" the headlight change was spured by the old design of having the lights attached to the bonnet resulting in too much headlight adjustment.

Skuz, no Zippeee! yet. "The wrong parts keep coming in a box with the right number on it."

That doesn't sound good.
