Million Dollar MINI

I found this in a Chinese news website, hopefully I didn't double post it.

A Million Dollar MINI:

Here is the story (I translated from Chinese): 4 artists spent 6 month on this R50 and created this. Market value is 1 million dollar. It'll be in a NY "art show" at the end of this month. This MINI is called a "true Amercia MINI".....whatever that suppose to mean...
I don't know I am really impressed by this thingy... It's just too busy to my eyes... Plus, those wheels just do not look right w/ the car, It's a MINI, not a lowered Escalade And those sparks are so photoshop-ed, too fake!
Well, just my 0.02

Those wheels at least should have been at least Lexani with at least some colored stones in them

So it's a Brittish car that's owned by a German company with an "American" motif by Chinese artists........OK !

So how I think the focus of that project got lost.:impatient

A+ for effort!

It's cool. I like it. It's also purposefully bizzare .. So the wheels fit right in.

I guess this makes this particular MINI a "MultiCultural Monstrosity".

It's definitely eye-catching.

MINIUSA should buy it, use it as a promotional tool, drive it cross-country, and park it at various MINI dealerships...and caution new MINI buyers...."Contrary to what you might have heard, yes, you can actually go too far in you-ification".

I Think it means that you spend WAY too much time and money modifying a car to the point that nobody except the original owner thinks it is worth the money "invested" .......sounds familiar

I think those 4 artists are home-grown Americans, the article didn't metion their nationality. If there were Chinese, you'll see great-wall & panda all over the place.
Don't ask me why the MINI ended up in a Chinese website. It's probably their way to show How crazy rich people can get on this side of the world.
