Sparkling Silver O.C.

Merry Christmas All,

zemina, NICE MINI man! Looks like the weather was great on 11/27.

minicooperwill, I got that same T-shirt and a SPARKLING SILVER OC ornament. I also got Rally Lights early, they are from a VIP Custom Parts kit.

Happy New Year!

Zemina- That is a sharp looking car!

Booktrout- Yours too! The lights look great. No SSOC ornament for me (at least not yet anyway; I'm told I have more presents on the way); I'll probably wear my shirt soon. I also got a "I love my MINI" shirt and one that says "F=MCs The formula for Fun!" (where the s is small and up where the 2 would be in something like 4 to the 2nd power, I forget what that is called). Yay for MINI-related gifts! Oh yeah, I got the 3rd Brake Light Pulsar too (already installed).

I've always wondered what SS would look like with snow and salt grime. Now I know. Mine has never experienced freezing temperatures (I don't think I've even heard the chime for 37 degrees either). I guess my car is spoiled with our weather.

185/55/15 Hankook Winter iPike W409's, they are mounted on the 15" Spooler OEM rims that I had laying around. They work really well, although I've only really spent a lot of time on the ice with them and not so much with the snow.

Happy New Year!

I would just like to take this opportunity to wish all of my fellow Sparkling Silver Owners a very happy and prosperous 2010!

(plus, I was tired of seeing that annoying Dark Silver OC as the only one on the "recent posts" page!)

I have seen the other owners club badges but haven't come across the sparkling silver one. Nice to see some love for a great color.

Hey AZMINI, welcome! I think all of us here agree that SS is a great color. Nice to see another join the club.

From your name, I'm guessing that you are in AZ. Am I right? If so, are you going to AMVIV? We didn't go last year, but we got our room reserved at Aliante for this year, so I guess we are. It'd be nice to see a few more SS MINIs while we're there. Maybe we'll even get a SSOC photo.

AMVIV7

2 Months until A MINI VACATION IN VEGAS,

We are going. Going to be there Friday afternoon Saturday, Sunday. Then we will continue west to San Diego/Escondido for spring break. I'm looking foward to the Vegas strip cruise and the caravan west with all the SoCal MINI's & Mini's. Arriving Friday afternoon, I might miss the Sparkling Silver family group photo.

Well, let's just say the SSOC family photo is still in the early planning stages. So as far as when/if it takes place, that is still very undecided.

I'm sure if you wanted to, you could caravan back to the San Diego/Escondido area with our group. We'll be meeting in the Aliante parking lot 7:30 Sunday morning and rolling out at 8. It'd be nice to have another SS in our club. Over 2 years later, I'm still the only one. Everybody in West Coast MINI loves the color, I'm just the only one with SS so far.

MCWill, Thanks for the invatation, I have looked at the SoCal MINI and MINIMANIACs club pages and didn't see any chatter on AMVIV and didn't think of WEST COAST MINI.

VERY nice! Congratulations on a great car in a great color. It looks like a Clubman version of mine (kinda). Are you planning on doing any mods on it?

Thanks, looks like the roof was originally body colored but was repainted. I thought it came from the factory like that, great paint job. Didn't even think about till someone mentioned it in another thread.

Love the car and the color, looks great after a good wash today. Can't wait for the weather to dry up and bit so I can give it a good wax.

Had to pop in and join the other Sparkling Silver Mini owners! This is my baby, I got it used in October '09 - 2007 Cooper S, nicely loaded. For my first ever car purchase, I think I did good! Sorry for the rainy photo, it's the best shot of my car I have so far (and I'm going to have to wait for winter to clear up to get more, I think!).

I would say you made an incredible first car ever purchase! I only wish my first car was half as cool as this. Mine was a 1977 Chevette!
