Sparkling Silver Owners Club
Nice! First post, and you made it in the right place: the best Owners Club on NAM! Congrats and welcome to the club. Sparkling Silver really is the most awesome color.
It is one of those colors that you have to see for yourself close up especially when the sun shines on it.
I haven't yet seen any photographs that can truly mimic the magnificent radiance of this color.

Maybe that will make ours even MORE valuable!
Looking to sell :(
My 2009 SS is on the the market! Same car in 2011 is over $36K!!
Asking a mere $26.5K with only 5200 miles on it!

I have 2 Minis now.
I've had Oboe (03 PW R50) for years and it's been a great car.
My dad recently passed away and I've got his 09 SS R56. He only had the car for about 4 months but he loved it.
So I guess I'm in the SS owner's Club now.

SS is a beautiful color!
My husband is getting me checkered mirror caps & rear view mirror caps and driving lights for my birthday. I can't wait to see what Minnie looks like once they are installed. Will post photos when it's done.
Welcome!
Mar 2011 end Sparkling silver
BWM stopped production of Sparkling Silver in Mar 2011. I just purchased a Sparkling Silver Clubman last month. Mine was made in 10/10 but the dealer told me he would no longer have Sparkling Silver Minis.
This month I plan to have a dull/graphite checkboard pattern put on the roof. I have already replaced the yellow fender turn signals with clear ones and will be installing a red stitched steering wheel on the car.
I have one question, what are the options to replace/cover the horrible vinyl seats in the car. Mine has the standard seats and boy are they hot and it is not even summer yet.

My Clubman. Hope to put on hood stripes and other wheels in the future
I think I have attached so photos - will wait and see if it works.

SS Owner here
Bought mine in July 2010. Coming up on one year in a week from today. I too am interested in wheel options. I've got the basic 17" wheels with run flats. I like the GPs but would like to see some pictures of what others have (OEM, replicas, or aftermarket)
I have now been an owner of an 09 SS MCS since April 19, 2012, it came with black stripes, driving lights, redwood interior and a missing antenna.
I've added the mini antenna, replaced the wipers, changed the oil to Mobil 1 0-40, and have ordered ASA AR1 wheels with Bridgestone Pontenza RE960AS Pole Position RFT's. Should have them this week and will put them on next Saturday, May 5.
I was planning on going to NON-RFT's but at the end of my research I read about the test results on Tire Rack about this 3rd generation RFT's and thought I'd give them a chance because they sounded good. My only experience to RFT's was the car I just sold, a 2003 Z4 and on that car I changed from the RFT to NON RFT's and liked the improvement.
This is my first Mini and I can say I have never owned a car that I like driving as much as this one ... and I'm old and have had a ton of cars. This past week I have LOOKED for excuses to go driving somewhere.
It's a great car and a GREAT COLOR!
Glad to find the club for it.
BTW ... I'm keeping all the chrome....but I'm old school.

JBOBP - I thought I recognized some pictures of your old 2010 MC-S, it is because I own it now after purchasing it from the dealer. Here is what your old 2010 MINI looks like now. Gone is the white mirror caps and double hood strips. White / Black (undecided) 18 R113 rims are next.
