I spotted a SS MINI 2 day in a row up in my area. First time I have seen a SS on the road. I really like it!! Looks great and I'm very excited.

So if someone lives in my area that has a SS/black roof, that is me asking like a crazy women - I just want to see you beautiful car and tell you "you've got great taste".

 

Another person eagerly awaiting the arrival of his SS/B MINI here . Coincidentally, Nugget and my car were shipmates (and I hear they had a great time onboard! ). Mine left the party early though, to get off in Halifax. Nugget still has another few days of travel to go before hitting the shores of America.

And yes, every once in a while I still go through the "did I choose the right color" internal debate...

Sparkling Silver is still the best color out there.

Alas no - and my car is in the "untrackable zone" between getting off the ship and arriving at my dealer. My best guess is another week or two. Soooo painful. Pix will be up as soon as it arrives.

My first exposure to Sparking Silver was when I was in the dealership talking to my MA about option packages for my JustaCooper. Parked a few feet from his desk was a spectacular 2008 MCSC Sidewalk - in SS!! (sound familiar?)

My first thought when I saw the car (and color!) was: "CLASSY!!" My next thought was: "Out of my price range."

So, I went with the color, but stayed with the JustaCooper - no regrets at all though. And I'm sure you'll love your new Nugget.

Oh god this waiting is torture. I saw another SS MINI today and it looked very green and not very nice I am freaking out that I won't like my SS/B! Please tell me that I am being silly! I'm getting it next week, this waiting is torture!

 

I had the SS/B for about a year and never got over my ambivalence about the color. It changes a lot depending on the outdoor light. The greenish tint finally got to me and I now have a Pure Silver and am much happier. It's just a matter of personal preference, but if you feel one way now, you'll probably always feel that way.

No really, we've had Daphne since January and still love the color. Yes, it looks different in different lights but that's part of the appeal.

being very very silly its a lovely colour, i do think though it seems to look completely different on an S, in comparison to a one or a cooper.

 

I mean I have seen it in the MINI showroom and outside the MINI garage and I thought it looked like the best colour, and looking at pics here I love it too - it's just the odd one or two that I see that I don't like and it's really worrying!

 

SS is defined as a very classy color. I have my MCS all SS (roof too) and it looks awesome. Originally I wanted Racing Green but after seeing the SS I opted for that color, you wouldn't get "tired" of it.

I'm collecting my MINI next Thursday - 3rd July. The day couldn't come sooner, I keep seeing that dirty sparkling silver MINI around now nearly every day and it's driving me demented thinking I'm not gonna like my own one. I keep trying to remind myself of when I thought like this before and went to the dealership and told myself I was being ridiculous coz it was the nicest colour and I absolutely LOVED the colour but it's hard to remember that time when I keep seeing this green one driving around! aaargh!
