Roll bar options?

So, I know I'm going to order a roll bar, but I don;t know what style I'm going to get... I've been talking with Built By Bones and their "race" roll bar seems like a nice option since i wouldn;t need to drill any holes in my interior panels. Autopower is also an interesting option, and I've talked with chad at detroit tuned about it, but I'm prutty sure I would have to butcher my rear panels to put it in... Does anybody have any photos they can post of the different roll bars in their car? Also, do any of you know if autopower offers a similar option to the BBB "race"?

I'm going to move this over to the Racing and Competition forums (leaving a link behind in Interior/Exterior). Hopefully you get a better response over here.

Here's a full cage sold through my local dealership. I'm not sure who made this one but it is very good quality.

What details do you want pictures of? I've got a Built by Bones in my Cooper, but it's not the race one. I don't have any good pictures of it, but I do have the car and a camera.

Currently, the diagonal brace and cross bar are out of the car for the winter, and the rear seats are in.

Grant (built-by-bones) is a custom fabricator so he can make one to suit your needs within whatever guidelines your sanctioning body requires. Another plus is his familiarity with the MINI. In “roll bar” only form the BBB main hoop’s base plate is very well braced compared to the AutoPower’s. Grant made a custom sport (street) roll bar for me that would meet some SCCA requirements if diagonal & cross bracing were added https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=77409 . It is not the normal “race” model.

Here are some shots of my autopower cage. If you plan to race in SCCA, 2 door bars are now required.

Hey all. just dug this back up. Thanks for all the replies. K-huevo, I think your bar is very similar to what grants doing for me. I think I'm going to have him weld diagonal crossbracing onto the rear supports though.. I need to call him to find out.

Be careful with the side bars. Some seats will not fit with just a straight peice.
