I just did a quick google search and this was one of the first I found. Might want to use the word "meatball" in the search as I think they are called that from time to time.

Yes...give Bret at Soloracer.com a call. He can help you with almost every autocross/track need you might have.

If you know the specs as far as size, shape and color requirements any FastSigns type operation should be able to do them for you - may save you a few $$.

The SCCA has clarified the requirements for class numbers and letters. If you are going to spend the money on magnetics, have them meet the spec. Check here for the details http://www.scca.org/news/tech/fastra...2-fastrack.pdf page f-310

Have you considered a removable vinyl meatball instead? From Finish Line Inc. in Florida.

GO HERE

The removable vinyl had vinyl numbers on it which you probably could remove and create your own font or design. I left mine the stock fonts. if you only need 2 instead of 4 just say that in the comments section.

Kent... I got my #s from SoloRacer.com They will even give you a few extra #s for when you are at a non local event or have a co-driver (your # pluss 100 aka 13 and 113) top noch service ...they had to rush my order for a Divisional.... they also sell the Schroth Harness I have in my car....

also SoloRacer.com's numbers are SCCA Legal (number rules recently got a lot more specific)

See you Sunday at the ATL event!!!!

Nice driving Sunday at Turner Field! I came down and watched to get some ideas on setup for my MCS which should be in next week. I'll be out next year in GS.

Another option is to make your own. You can buy magnetic material for about $7 per foot from a wholesale sign supply warehouse. Check your local yellow pages. It is also nice for the required stickers if you don't want to mess up your paint.

Jason, pm me with his address/phone, whats the SCCA reg on numbers, how tall do they have to be. my perm number is 111 just need 6 ones and SM on both sides and I am set. I decided to just jump into SM, thats where my car belongs and its going to take several years before I am even close to seeing the back of your car, so this way it will give the other SM guys someone they can always beat.

Just make them. Go to your local home center and buy a sheet of magnetic material. If you look in the heating and winterizing section you will find them sold as heating duct covers. You can get them in any color as long as it's white. Then print out some numbers with your computer, trace them on the magnetic material, and then cut out the numbers. I have 2 complete sets from 0-9 plus my GS.

Cost me about $20.00 total. (our region is just contemplating reserved numbers)

Hawaii's Solo II Chairman (also the field's top gun!) referred me to...

http://www.solotime.com

I e-mail them @...

solotime@southwind.net

===>& quickly got a response from Jean. She was really helpful with my needs & my two custom panels are on their way  .

BTW, I showed up at my very first event back this past September -- thinking that I'd be with the stock/novice gang. Nooooooo... my 17" aftermarket rims/tires plus lowering springs (all in the name of vanity!) instantly shot me up to FSP though... Can't wait! Got 7th (of 9) at last month's event in FSP. Frankly, I don't care much about my standings. Just wanna have a good, good time -- so far, so good.

TGIF

SoloRacer.com is definately a good site for autox gear. I picked up my Helmet from there. While you're there, pick up a harness too! You won't believe the difference it will make on your times!

===>*VmpyrDavid: I'm a Solo II beginner. Just curious... how would a harness make for better times?! Thanks in advance

You'd be amazed how much you use the steering wheel to hold yourself in the seat, even while using the stock seat belt, and even while twisting the belt to keep it tight. WIth a harness any type of hands-on with the steering wheel is now only for steering input. It's a Fact Jack. With the less you have to worry about (consciously or unconsciously) you times will improve. I went from consistent 2nd & 3rd place finishes to 1st.

Sorry about Jacking the Thread...

===>Dang, I had no idea ...none!! Thanks for that, VmpyrDavid. Thanks also for the PM. Maybe you could please PM me any more tidbits that aren't all that obvious -- thanks a lot!

*My apologies as well for the jacking ...
